My Dragonfly's Kiss has got me out many a tight spot...I think the katana holds 18 charges. However, I only filled 11. I cheaped out and used the winged twilight (haven't filled my own soulgems yet) to create 300 charges of Paralyze for 5 seconds. Nothing much, but lasts forever and works well. I prefer to minimize the charge per cast aspect.

If you want to be VERY effective and also VERY cheesy...

Enchant with "Calm Humanoid" and nobody'll ever hit back (10 points with an area of effect will even calm guards :p ).

But seriously, I leave the 'paralyze' to the glass jinkblade (better than I could enchant) and put drains, fortify and elemental damage on my blades. If you put a bit of drain fatigue on the sword you can fight a loooooong time :)

Just for game balance maybe paralyze and just one other enchantment. Thinking shock, frost or drain health. That calm humanoid sounds good, but a little too cheesy. Than again it is a legitimate enchantment.................... ;) ;) ;)

Calm humanoid was the enchantment I used on my first decent sword in the early game...a steel wakizashi (ah, the good 'ol days, before Daedric ANYTHING was on my wishlist ;) ). Still carry the darn thing and every once in a while have a legitimate use for it. :)

Hey S_S just curious but can you fortify attack I have yet to find a spell that will do that as well as any skill. I tend to not want to use and paralyze style attacks on weapons as its just to easy to win then. Whack em with par then use soultrap to refill the Star then recharge the weapon when done. Personall I like drain stamina and fortify would love if I could fortify longblade or maybe even attack just can seem to find any spells that do them so I can enchant my weapons with them.

Calm humaniod sounds like a waste of enchantment to me. I mean it only works on humans so if you want a weapon that works against other beasties then you need to make another weapon and carry it with you which adds unnecesary weight, plus neither one of them works against deadras or undead, so you need another weapon to work on them. I'd stay away from this enchantment it's better to make a weapon that is usefull for almost any situation. Like drain health. My personal favorite is drain agility, it will increase your chances to knock down your opponent and decrease the chances of him doing the same to you.

try this....

get a golden saint, and

paralysis for 5 seconds, and

grave weakness to magika for 5 seconds... both are cheap, 8 charges, and the weakness to mgicka is CHEAP....i got up to 50 !!! points per hit...

i used to think the damage health was best, but after trying out

shadow, twilight and night, i keep it non enchanted, my daedric claymore....

(shadow, twilight are exquiste rings with 24 chamelon, night is daedric tower shield with 45!!! chameleon, and i have on cat shirt and pants, with 12 each....)

with full equipment loadout, i can sneak behind anything and whack for seriously crit damage.....

sunder is good for that too...giggle...
They call me Darth...

Darth Gizka!

Muwahahahahhahahha!!!

@Azkor:

I haven't found a 'fortify attack' spell effect either. The best I can do is fortify attribute/skill and even then I can't make as good a weapon as the bound stuff (usually +10 to relevant skill/attribute).

@ Ares2382:

Heheh...don't knock it till you've tried it ;)

S_S yeah looks like they left some of the things that you can find on weapons and items as only being able to be found and not able to be made yourself without using the editor. To bad really the ability to fortify skills or attack rateing would be a nice enchant or even just a spell. To think of being able to make more scrolls of icarian flight woot.

edit: I need a spell checker
