Loot and Expenses

Post by Mr Sleep »

I currently have 12K, I am proud of my little stash, but what exactly am i supposed to do with all these earnings, i have all the equipment i want and i can't find anyone that sells anything superior to my Orcish Armour stolen from a Vampire (along with his Elvish Claymore  ) Anyone got a good smith or something that sells superior wares.

Also is there anyone in the game that has a very large stash of cash? I currently have a helm that has a Value of 12500 (IIRC) yet there is no one with the finances that come close to that figure. I don't exactly need the money, but it seems a shame to seel the helm for 7500 less than it's worth. (i guess i am a capitalist after all :o )

Thanks in advance :)

Get a deadric dai katana easy at the Dren Plantaition, its locatet a bit north of vivec.
In a slavebarrac on poles is a lonly Dunmer without armor, killing him should be no proplem, even for low lvls.
If you have proplems, try a weapon with paralyze effect.
The reward is one of the best non magic weapons in the game :D
And no, killing him will not get you in any trouble.
If you are a bit higher in lvls pay the Drens Villa a visit and kill the dudes in there ---> nice weaps and armor.
With each kill, I grow wiser, and with added wisdom, I grow stronger.

Care to elaborate? Perhaps you should do it in Morrowind style "Go west of Suran until you come to and arbitrary point and then turn north" ;) So is Ghostgate relevant to Ghostfence or are they different places? (*sigh* i feel like a newbie again ;) )

@Jodmos, Better than the Elven Claymore?

@Sleep, you wanted to know what to do with your earnings. Ghostgate is the place to go, because you will find some of the best weapons and armor made out of superior materials, there. I wanted to leave the discovery of what would be there, up to you. :)

As for getting there, your best bet may be going northeast from Ft. Moonmoth, rather than north (which takes you to Balmora). You'll be crossing some very mountainous terrain.

I was just confused, i have seen it referred to as Ghostgate and Ghostfence i guess i just wasn't sure exactly which one you meant, thanks for clearing it up :) I have actually been their once already on a fighters guild quest, didn't realise it was the place you referred to, shouldn't be too much problem getting back there :)

@ sleep
never found an elven claymore :( so I cant say wich weapon is the better one.
Ghostgate is the gate in the ghostfence around the red mountain.
Just go to the middle of your worldmap, youll find a blue shimmering fence, follow it around till you find a gate, thats the famous ghostgate.

I got mine while searching around the area of Vos, there was a shrine with a large group of hero's, it was a tough fight and i had to use several different spells. Then once dispatched i was busy theiving the site (raw ebony on the shrine) and it sets off an ash vampire who had a rather nice sword and some Orc armor
