Where the heck are these boots?

Post by fishhead »

Everyone is talking about these fantastic boots of speed, and I have never come across them......maybe the fact that I have restarted the game with different characters 3 times now, but at any rate where are these fantastic boots of speed?

Have you (hints, not SPOILERS)

ever met a lady needed to be escorted to some seaside village not so far away? She even offers those boots in course of bargain, and after you deliver her you get them :D
She isn't in a town, though, IIRC, she's on some road. Task is rather easy and can be done on level low enough to be able to deal with some mudcrabs and so, esp. if one's avoiding a couple of breeding beings ;)
However you couldn't use them stright away if your char isn't Orc or Breton, it's nature of her gifts what cause rumors about the bounty on her head and, seems, it's why she needs an escort :D

Actually, when I first found the boots, I used them even tho' they made me completely blind.

Just pointed myself in right direction and ran. The fact that magic resistance makes you resist SOME of the effects and not others is kinda cheap by my viewpoint.
