Thief 2.

Not an RPG I know, but THAT was a well done game.

I preffered the first one :)

Just out of interest, what has this to do with hating BG2?
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

Diablo 2? No you're getting confused, Baldur's Gate II is a role-playing game. :)
Past: Ascension
Present: The Broken Hourglass
Future: Return to Windspear, Imoen Relationship

He was saying, in effect, "Diablo 2 is a poor sequel to the original Diablo, and in the same way, BG2 is a poor sequel to BG1."
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

@ Ode to a Grasshopper,

Is your user name a Jim Morrision rip-off (The End at the Hollywood Bowl) to be specific.

btw, welcome to game banshee.

Crush enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women.

Yep...directly stolen from The End.
It beats "Soap on a Rope", which was my first idea...

As for what Thief 2 has to do with hating BG2...I forget. It was relevant somehow, I think...
I haven't played Thief 1 yet.

A decent troll. It manages to refer to sex, disparages something most posters here feel strongly about (BG), includes a disclaimer ("just my opinion") and explicitly invites response.

The fact that the poster's name is "Critic" throws me off somewhat. Isn't that a bit too obvious?

I also sense a certain absense of B1FF-isms... Not enough 1337 or "cute" spelling errors.

It was true anyway :)

Definately worth it, perhaps not techniolocally as good, but the storyline is fantastic :)
