Hi i'm a adventurer pure mage...
i want to join house telvanni as i heard that its the best on efor mages
only problem is, i've been combing sadrith mora for an hour with no luck

Ask around, you'd be told. You should learn to fly if you're going to be Telvani, though, they're very fond of levitation, those Telvani. To clear details a bit you might consider to start at Vivec in Telvani compound altogether. However i don't believe you'd get immediate gain joining Telvani, rather not. IMHO it'd be better to wander around a bit and learn about all posibilities and relations. It's well known the Telvani House does not agree very well with any other faction in Morrowind, consider it.

trev is by far the best house to join, though i have yet to play reldy...after the first 4 or so quests, you can get a devil squid helm, which not only summons a dremora to fight for you , but also puts on a bound helm, trev know all th good spells, like in tel branora, upper tower...hint hint...seriously important for mages...

the quality of loot you get from trev exceeds by a large factor all the useless junk you get from all other houses, and imperial cult and legion, and mage guild...

the fast eddie stuff is just seriously good...

if you want the necromancer stuff treby from the mage guild has, and i sure did... taunt him and kill him...his gear is the only stuff that comes even close...

and yes, you should have no problem with joining the mage guild and trev...just challenge trebonius when he tries to give you the quest to whack all trev house councillors, then you go fight him in vivec arena, and with right spells you can take him...warning, do not try lev as he will follow you, and i have lost loot that way...

you need to find the trev council house, this is diff from tel naga....

also if you plan to be a mage thief, tel fyr has some sweet loot hidden away...
