Possibly spoilers if you want to have fun when going round Vivec...
I was exploring Vivec for the first time, and I went to the South, in the cantor before Vivec's palace, with the Hall of Justice, where the moon floats above the place. I went to the shrine at the back, right under the moon, and it asked me if I wanted to donate a rising force potion for a blessing. I did so, and my journal got updated (it seems that this was one of the places my Pilgrimage takes me) and I now have what seems to be a permanent levitate, 100 points. I was flying around Vivec for over half an hour, doing random quests, and it showed no signs of going away. Is it permanent? Will it go next time I rest, or in 7 game days or something? I'd like to know 'cos I have a save from before I did it and can save the levitate for when I really need it if it's not going to stay.
Thanks

Sleep is for n00bs, and people with too much blood in their caffeine. Have YOU voted for Kayless' Dungeon Crawl Inc. yet today???
Reality is an illusion created by alcohol deficiency
Yes it will go away. It lasts for one heck of a long time, possibley as long as you are in Vivec, but it has not lasted me more than one game day, so enjoy it while you can, and remember you can always go back and do it again.
If you really like levitate, and don't have a long lasting enchanted item yet, there is a staff in the same cave you get the Bow for the Urshilaku trial to meet the wise woman. This staff is levitate 120sec, but only 1point, so it is pretty slow.
fill up a grand soul gem with saint or sleeper, and get a constant effect amulet or daedric shield with lev...the more points you can squeeze in the better,
isnt a constant effect lev the single most useful item in the game?
i mean literally, its an item you use every quest!!!!
you either use it to get over a terrain blocker, or lift up after a drop into a pit, or just plain get to a level that you would other wise have to climb stairs for...
that and a constant effect night eye...30 points or so, and daylight outside look ok, but dungeons are no longer a problem....
constant effect regen, just a single point a second is mandatory for the tough end game encounters, though i do admit some of teh temple quests get a bit hairy...
