Charnwood Castle - Spoilers Please

In Charnwood castle:

1 brother has a summoning alter - figured out that part

The second brother, Quint, has a defaced alter to Lathander in his area:

What do I do with this alter?

Can you clean it up? I tried casting healing spells at it, putting healing potions in the various glowing holy urns, nothing works.

The quest ends fine without doing anything, though it would be nice to know if anyone has figured out what to do with the MorningLord's statue.
