I have checked around a bit and i just can't find the answer...
I was a fighter so naturally i joined fighters guild, passed all the missions and became Guildmaster...I got slightly bored with the fighter since he was just a bit too good so i moved over to a magician. Got so far and advanced a few levels and then became Magister of the great house Telvanni.
My question is, what exactly do i do once i am head of a guild, it seems to me that once all my chores are finished i can't do much of anything with that group.
With the Telvanni i have my stronghold to build, but other than that i can't see anything else in the future...so what am i missing?
Stupid Question... (semi spoiler)

I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

Ah, you have happened upon one of the few significant issues I have with Morrowind: the fact that you once you become the leader of an organization, nothing happens. You can't direct policy, you don't get attacked by your guild's enemies, and you don't even get to watch guildmembers give more than a token nod to you.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
Also if i decide to steal anything from a shelf or something in front of a Fighters guild salesmen i am chucked out of the Guild...explain to me who exactly kicks me out of the guild considering i am the head of it, surely i have no superiorsOriginally posted by fable

Yeah, I agree with you, fable. If you become master of a guild/house and you hit "duties" or "orders" to a fellow member of that guild/house they say "What can I do for you, master" or something to that affect. I wish you could send those people on missions-having three options for each mission-One being a moral way of conducting the mission, or an evil way, or a profitable way of sending people in your house/guild on missions. This would further define your character in the role-playing aspect and would define what kind of a leader you would be.
Do you guys agree with my ideas?
*Beware! Minor Telvanni Spoiler*
What makes me slightly dissapointed in house Telvanni-when you get your mouth-you dont really use him. If you have a mouth-he should be able to send people on missions for you.
*spoiler alert over*
Oh well. Just one minor complaint about a great game.
I just realized that I am the first person to post on this thread that has under 1000 posts. I am beginning to feel intimidated!

“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

Hmmmmm..... The outcome? Didnt think of that. I guess it all depends on what the quest you sent the person on.
As far as being the person with very little posts-I joined the forum in October of 2001, but I stopped posting because I won Baldur's Gate, BG II, and BGII(three times)-Throne of Baal(2 times) so I basically stopped playing the three games because I did pretty much the entire game. So I didnt really have much to talk about-so I stopped posting on the forum. Now that I have gotten into Morrowind-I have returned to the forum-Much to the dismay of everyone else! But I have a good time on forums.

Hohohoho, another person with 1000+ posts...
I reckon that you could have some sort of say in the running of your guild, do you remember the running of the Thieves' Guild in BG2? Or even the Fighter Stronghold - even a perk like money every so often would be great. But actually being able to have partial control of the running of your people would be brilliant - perhaps you could even pick a particular person to do each job, depending on their particular skill, and they would have a better chance at succeeding. Not gonna happen though
Ah, you tell my story I was the same, then in April I discovered SYM. Three months later, now look at meOriginally posted by Tybaltus
