1. where is the best place to sell my expensive equipment? no one seems to have enough gold. for example i have glass dagger that seems to be worth 2,700 gold while the only place i know of that has 2,000 on them is the vender at he balmora fighers guild. i have a ebony spear that seems to be worth 4,000 gold.
2. where can i store stuff im not welling to sell yet? i have an ebony broadsword and i don't want to sell it, yet i don't want to be carrying it around because it weighs 25 lbs.
3. where can i get some glass armor? im so tired of my cheap light armor. i keep having so sell the orcish armor i find because im not skilled in it. i so want some good armor.
1-There is a Scamp in Caldera within the orc manor that has 5k gold
2-
*small spoiler*If you belong to a house you might wanty to constuct a stronghold for some money-its a nice safe spot to put items.
*spoiler over*
Or if you dont want to be in a house-put items in places you find yourself going back to-Fighters Guild, Mages Guild-where ever you are among friends. People dont pick up items you drop-no matter where you drop them
3-If you are a good thief-try Hlaalu or Redoran Vaults in Vivec

1. If you think that's hard, wait till you get an 80,000 GP-value Deadric claymore (keeping in mind that even with 100 Admiration you'll recoup only 60% of its value).
I think the designers went a little overboard here in shifting the emphasis from straight 'buying & selling' to actual 'bartering'.
Let's put all this expensive loot into the game and, then, not give the merchants enough gold to buy any of it from you, forcing you to 'barter' that expensive sword for a full set of armor, say, and if he doesn't have enough gold to make change you'll just have to buy more of his stuff, which you can then go and sell piecemeal to other merchants.
It appears the 'correct' method of disposal is to cache it until you can barter it for something of equal or greater value. Many of the enchanters, BTW, will buy weapons, which can help pay for their enchanting services.
The down-n-dirty solution to this is the "Temple fences" plug-in. This can, however, seriously unbalance the game by giving you waaaaay too much cash burning a hole in your pocket, demanding to be spent. Use judiciously.
2. Strongholds come way past the point where you need the extra storage space, IMO, and have limited storage, other than dropping stuff on the floor, at that (at least, such was the case with my Telvanni stronghold).
If you're in the Mage's guild, each hall has a 'members general-use' chest you can store stuff in.
The d-n-d solution here are the "Your Balmora/Gnissi/Dagon Fel residence" plug-ins. Only the strictest purist, I think, could consider these imbalancing. The Balmora house has a fair amount of storage although, with the merchant gold problem, it can fill up pretty quickly. Dagon Fel has 2 big chests, a small chest, a crate, a sack and a desk. Never could find my place in Gnissi.
3. Armor, like the other skills, increases with use. Put the stuff on, maybe buy an initial level of training and just use it. Mix-n-match your light and medium stuff so you get xp going to both.
Glass, IMHO, is THE coolest-looking equipment in the game. The weapons, unfortunately, don't hold much enchantment - stick with Ebony or Deadric there - and Glass, like the other Lights, must be repaired with more frequency.
Glass is also *very* expensive. But not to worry - as you get into the game, you come across a fair amount of Glass to loot. I got near-complete sets of Ebony and Glass off two people in one Dwarven ruin!
**spoiler** There is an armorer that will set you a full set in
... and when I look at you I think, if I were a psychopath and we were standing on an extremely high cliff above a pounding surf that would drown out your scream ... well ... you know ...
Tybaltus- thanks for the tip on the scamp that helped a lot. is he a bug or a cheat? he has no bartering skill and buys everything at face value.
free_fall- where is this smith that will make me a set of armor?
i also have a couple more questions.
4. does time have any effect on the main quest? i heal meself A LOT by resting.
5. what do soul gems do? i traped a deadric (sp?) lord in greater soul gem (its value shot up to 40,000 gold), what do i do i with it? seems like its for inchanting?
No problem about the scamp-no its not a cheat-he isnt that smart after all!
4-Time doesnt matter. You can hold off forever if you wanted to.
5-Soul gems are good for 2 reasons- MONEY! And if you are an enchanter or you go to an enchanter with a soul in a soul gem- you can make a normal item gain magical abilities. You find enchanters in most any big town but their prices tend to be steep. If you are an enchanter with a soul gem filled with a soul then just drag the soul gem to the picture of your character in your inventory and you can figure out the rest from there.

Pretty good costume you got there. Lets see if I can guess the items you have:
Helmet-Ebony Closed Helm
Robe-Extravagant Robe
Pauldrons-simple chitin pauldrons
Weapon-Is that Ice Blade of the Monarch?
Ring selected-Looks like Ring of the Khajiit
gauntlets-simple heavy gauntlets?
Not bad set of items if you ask me. What level is your character?
Of coarse I have to brag about my thief and mage-They have impressive sets of armor as well.

The armorer is in the place indicated in the red text. It's a very small place - wander around, you can't miss him. Take lots of gold with you.
To enable screen capture, open Morrwind.ini and set "Screen Shot Enable" to 1. This saves your captures directly to the the Morrowind folder while you're in the game, without having to Alt+Tab out of the game.
Here I pose in my Balmora residence in full set of Glass.

is your red text in some sort of code? i can't read it or understand it.
also you need to put your pic on line before you can post it. won't work from your hard drive.
i tried reversing the first word before i posted my question about the code and got trpmwda which i don't understand. ghostgate seems to be the only one that is reversed. the others much be mis matched? im really clueless because im not that familiar with all the places in morrowind yet. i haven't been to ghostgate yet.

I don't know either *shrug*
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.
You're right - that was the only real word, the others were 'red' herrings.

I see you are a red guard. Good choice-Adrenalin Rush is awesome. I also took note of the fact you have skills in the conjurer ability but you dont have any conjuration spells(or at least no bound spells or summoning spells). I think it would be worth getting some summoning spells at your level. Bound stuff was much more useful at lower levels when you didnt find many useful items. Looks like your character is primarily a warrior with stealth. Is this your first character to play the game?

yeah, redguards seemed to have the best stats back in daggerfall. i decied to stick with what worked last time even though i don't remember all that much.
this is my 2nd character. my first was horrible and i gave up on him.
this one isn't that great either now that ive learned a few tricks.
i do have bound long sword but i stopped casting it when i got the umbra sword.
bound armor doesn't seem like its worth it. to much prep work to get some bonuses for 60 seconds.
so far there hasn't been a battle i couldn't solve with my super cheese which ill type bellow.
i use the a ring and amulet of chameleon which puts me over 100% invisablity, with andrinaline rush ive made short work of a lot of very tuff foes because they don't even fight back.
my stealth needs a lot of work. i think i have only backstabed someone once.
Yeah, my first character was a bust too. I simply called him a trial character to learn the tricks and the trades of Vvardenfell. My second character, an Argonian warrior agent, was much more successful and lots of fun. I eventually won the game with him. The Argonian is my favorite race so far. I am now playing a Breton mage, who is also lots of fun.
