i am a thief trying to become an adept pickpocket by upping his security. i need to find the lock spell. can anyone tell me where to find the scroll and the spell teacher or whatever i need? are they sold in any of the cities?

IIRC, one of mages in the Mages' Guild ( I think Sadrith Mora or Caldera) sells Fenwick's Doorjam. You may need to be a member to buy the spell.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...
