efficient ways to enchant glass armor

Post by Somber Oracle »

I never realized how bad glass armor is for enchanting until I had the money and went to do it. Does anyone know any good ways (spells ect.) to enchant it so that its actually worth the soul gem.

A Couple of points of Damage Health goes a long way...
I got Summon Golden Saint in my Tower Shield, and Damage Health in my Pouldrons..

Have you tried C-Restore Health 1-2 points?

Eeeek! How could you ruin the beauty of glass armor with that gawdawful enchantment shimmer? Oh, if you're playing 1st person view, I guess it wouldn't matter.

The only piece of glass armor I ever found worthwhile to enchant is the helmet. It has just enough enchantment points to hold a constant effect Water Breathing spell. I suppose it could hold a good amount of Night Eye as well, but haven't tried it.

Kinda off-topic, but what is the best weapon/armor/jewelry to enchant? (by the amount of enchantement it can hold) and where could I find it?

Yeah, those I know about. But there are better items. For example an exquisite ring can hold 120 of enchantement versus Daedric Shield that has 150. I believe that there would have to be items with even more room for enchantement.

I know I am probably inthe minority here, but I think the shimmer effect of enchanted items looks tuff :p I mean , majic is supposed to be different and special. And if you are a little selective with your enchantments you can "color coordinate as you intimidate"
 , Oh well, like I said, I'm probably in the minority

Daedric Tower shield

,AFAIK, is the largest. IIRC, it holds 225 - at least i've enchanted one with +45 STR (on vacation far from computers just now, occassionaly happened to meet a keyboard :D , so i cannot look into savegames).

The only things I could stand it on were shields or helms. At one point I had enchanted greaves and cuirass and ended up throwing on a non-enchanted robe to cover the effect so I didn't look, as someone observed in another thread, like a 'walking Christmas tree or neon sign'.

I don't know if it's the Voodoo5 I was playing on but the effect was especially appalling in early morning fog, when the world is softly greyed out and I'm blazing like a carbon-arc searchlight.

I agree that magically-enhanced items should show *some* evidence; I just think it could have been a little subtler. On the other hand, I was a bit disappointed that enhanced weapons didn't really show any effect except when striking. I *would* have liked seeing little flames dancing up and down the blade of my fire-damage sword.
