Hey, everyone - I've just taken a very short amount of time off from last-minute packing to come in and say bye to you all. Most people know, I'm going to the States for a while to take care of my grandfather. Then it'll be off to Uni, so I might not be around here until early October. Have a good month everyone, I will be back, be that a promise or a threat :D

See you all later. I've gotta finish my packing. ;)

Greetings, Fas. I hope the moving was not too bad. Hows it going, man?

@Eery No problem-just been doing some catchups on other threads. Cheers, mate. How was your weekend? And you happy with the car's performance?

Had a great weekend. Took the car to Hasselt (read: the city) on Saturday and it ran smoothly (I even got the slopes down ;) ). It doesn't accelerate as fast, but I'm glad I got used to shifting gears manually again so quickly. Got 2 DVD's, another Pratchett and a game and spent what free time I had on Sunday on Warcraft III  - how was your weekend? ** takes a hit from his spliff **

Not too bad. The only real negatives were I had to do a bit of cleaning, and my parents were fighting on Saturday, but that subsided by Sunday. On Saturday, I got to enjoy lots of college American football games. That was enjoyable. On Sunday, I watched a CART and NASCAR race. Other than those things I spent the time on SYM. Pretty good last weekend of the 2 month vacation.

I never learned standard, Ive been driving automatic, always. Much easier, I think.

I agree that it's much easier - I just had to re-learn to drive a manual because there were no automatics available (apart from a Mercedes that was slightly off-budget ;) ) ** takes a drink from his can of beer **

@Eery Must have been fun to learn. :D Yeah, Mercedes can get a bit pricy, but you werent willing to spoil yourself? While your wallet would take a hit, it would be fun, wouldnt it? ;) :D

@Fas Just look up to my previous post, that about covers my weekend.

*faints* AUTOMATIC???????????????????????
Good god no...you arent driving a car if you drive in automatic.
You are just guiding the car and putting in the gas....*shakes head in pain* You dont know the beauty of the car unless you drive in manual...the natural way to drive a car :p :D

It would, Ty, it certainly would :D - but I might as well go straight for a Lamborghini or Ferrari, then ;) . No, seriously, my current car is affordable and still looks pretty  . I'll worry about getting a classier model, once this one has served its purpose ** takes another hit from his spliff **

Indeed. I own a nice small car too-a 2000 Ford Escort. It isnt that bad. It gets me from point A to point B safely, so what more could I ask for?
