Actually, speaking in other than english is banning reason in many forums. (so don´t!)

great minds think alike, or the collary...

the best gauge of another person's intelligence is how much they agree with you....

yes, alson and i have taken both tashia and kelcy along...

toss in sola, or the game gets too boring, and you have the party of NO WHIMPS.

why? cause no one wears armor...

caspy: armor...yeah right, armor....

the power is really really evil....most battles are decided in a second or so, as the bun bun, tashia and kelcy salvos, about 6 each, of remove magic and abu abu slash thru the enemy ranks,,,,
They call me Darth...

@Nero, of course I knew you were new, I was only joking a little!
I used smiles after all!! :D :p
The "most powerful" is an EverGreen topic!!!! :D

Alson: urgh, two sorcs!
No, even ONE is too much....
To finish my game with Kelsey I planned to give him all crappy spells,
I mean, ATM Tashia scores all the killings!!!
I'll just have to leave behind classics like Time Stop or Abi, and go for
Symbol Fear or something.....

Sorcs are TOO powerful... still I prefer a more flexible character as PC!

Most powerfull npc depends on the person using it, me.. I like sorcerers and have incredible success solo'ing them though soa and tob.. Infact, I find them so rediculous I wont use them outside a solo game..

ANYTHING that can lay spike traps and get uai, I generally find is about the same as Sorc for pure insta death power

Barbarians would have to be up there as well for me, given that with good items there almost impossible to kill through any means

Just imo

Then the standard *Uber Chars* like Bezerker/Mage Kensai/Mage Fighter Mage whatever...

LOL! :D

Having two sorcs in AMAZING!
User, do you remember your thread about Sorcerer's Schools of Magic?
Kelsey is a Buffer Summoner (goes well together),
and Tashia is a Powergamer Blaster (goes together even better :p ).
Having a Buffer is ssssoooo convenient! Until now i only played with one Sorcerer usually, so i had no room for major party-buffing spells, but now, playing with two sorcs, i can allow myself to pick some....
The result is scary.
Just several options from the top of my head:
  • Buff the party with Protection from Fire, (or Spell Immunity: Evocation for the mages), which unlike the clerical version, grants 100% resistance. Items should get it up some more. Now, fill the area with several Inc. Cloud and shoot some Fireballs from wands. Enemies will die fast, while your buffed up party heals!
  • Buff everybody with Protection from Magical Energy (again, use Spell Immunity: Necromancy for the mages). Now, fill all sequencers with Skull Traps. You all know the rest... ;)
  • Cast Improved Haste on your tanks. Switch AI on, go get something to eat, and come back.
  • A favorite User tactic - summon some monsters, (Gibberlings if possible :D ), and cast Mass Invisibilty and Haste on them. Laugh while your invisible spiders and skellies kill dragons.
And this is only the Buffer Summoner side...
We all know what a Powergamer Blaster can do... :D

PS.
User, can you post your sorcs spell tables, or email me?
Building tables for two sorcerers is completely different - much easier, and IMO, much more fun and interesting, because more combos are possible.

That would be even funnier if you'll romance him... :p

Don't worry Kelsey, you're not a lousy Sorcerer... And even if you are, you're still MY cute, little, lousy Sorcerer! :D

It's intersting that you chose Symbol: Fear as a lousy spell, considering the fact the it gives a -4 penalty to saving throws, and frightened enemies can be easily killed with missiles weapon or hasted tanks...
Don't get me wrong - it's no Abi Dalzim, but there are worse spells out there... ;)

actually symbol fear is a pretty good spell, just does not work on undead....pre buff a party on remove fear, and load up all mages with chain symbol fear, and hit a dragon, about the same as hitting with spook...but spook is not as good for groups and yeah, fear weapons really are only good against dragons...makes them unable to hurt you and they become easy xp...

alson, i have about 6-8 spells per level...when i use bun bun, or modify sola into kensai mage multi, why quibble about extra spells being hacked in via sk???

also look up xyx's spell guide, its listed in the sticky post...

its tough choosing good spells, i simply admit to not wanting to make tough choices, and went ahead and hacked in extra spells to play with...

now one trick thats really evil is the inc cloud trick, yes i have posted that one about a year ago, and it does work, until you run into ecipse, wes has a constant zosa in the room...

and this is why i like sola so much, hitting dragons with hasted summons they auto deathspell everything...
They call me Darth...

Two flaws on your list: for some reason, Spell Immunity: Necromancy
doesn't seem to stop Skull Traps.
Two, dragons SEE invisible gibberlings!!! :p

I know, I used Symbol Fear a lot with my goody goody char!!
But believe me, remove Abi, Time Stops and maybe even Chain Contingency
and you sorc will be a "normal" character again!!!!

I really don't like adding spells... It's no fun.
The whole point of a Sorcerer is that you gain more power, but you lose the Mage's flexibility...
But now, playing with two sorcerers, i don't NEED to add spells...
I have both flexibility AND power!
But, i know you're already lost in the Bun-Bun-limbo, so i won't even try to persuade you...
:D :p

I agree.... Beating a dargon with summons is ridiculous...
Improved AI is a real gift for BG2 veterans! :)

As always, you are right Littiz...
I just tested - SI:Necro does not protect from Skull Traps, but as gnomethingy said - Minor Globe of Invulnerability does.
I already planned on picking Limited Wish, so now i have another reason - the 'Mass Minor Globe of Invulnerability' option!

And about the Dragon Vs. Invisible Summons - the fact that he can see them does not matter...
The fact that, Hey, we're five against one, you can't target us with your annoying spells, AND we get a +4 bonus to saves, AC and THACO, does. :D

You're right too Alson!!!
But concede me a short debate....
The fact is, Dragons are supposed to be completely "immune" to invisibility,
so even the "shimmering" (after the first attack or spell casted) *should*
lose its meaning.
So, speaking about implementation, dragons *should* be able to target
Improved Invisible enemies, while these ones *shouldn't* have the bonuses.
When (and I say WHEN! :D :p ) I remember this, I try to avoid Imp. Inv. against
dragons!!! :D
As a matter of fact, I end using it almost all the times.. :(
A mislead fired "accidentally" by a contingency is enough....

doesnt the improved dragon ai auto fire true sight???

so you still need spell immunity div...

now wing buffets are a scripted innate, i tried adding it to immie a while back, does not work, and they dispell invisibility, i thinks...

anyway, i thinks dragons can see inv, like liches.....

my new anti dragon tactic consists of hitting with sola and bun bun, with mondo weapons, and counting on remove magic and spook to pin in place...
They call me Darth...

I just killed imp. Firkraag a day ago and I don't remember him casting any True Sight. He was able to target me with spells despite Improved Invisibility.

I had my Berserker/Mage raged with the usual buffs (Blur, Mirror Image, Prot. from Evil, Stoneskin, Prot. from Magical Weapons, Imp. Invisibility) plus Spell Immunity: Abjuration. I distinctly remember Firkraag flinging remove magic at me and dispelling Tashia's and Kelsey's buffs (I think Tashia had Spell Immunity: Divination active) but not my PC. She finished off Firkraag mirrored and stoneskinned without a scratch in the end. Sweet; it was my first try too :D

Anyhow, as User suggested, Khelben's did keep Firkraag relatively occupied, not casting any nasties and after a couple of Breaches and hard smacking he kicked the bucket.

interesting, might change my habits towards dragons...
though I think you still gain the bonuses from Imp. Invisibility, so again, we have cheese, 'cause they fully see you
