Contingency problems
Contingency problems
Hey fellas. I'm kinda having problems with the contingency spell. I used Aerie to cast it and set it for after 25% of damage. The problem is Aerie has been damaged heaps of times and but I"ve not seen the spells I set(stone skin and minor globe) trigger off even once! Am i doing anything wrong? Any help would be much appreciated.

somebody once posted she can be made unkillable by setting contingency for heal....
actually i think mass heal is better, and i think its level 6 or so....
but its not quite what you expectred...does not trigger instantly. so its handy, just not the cheese you wanted.

ALWAYS set 50%!
Reasons:
1)You can be killed in a single blow when close to 25%
2)Bad implementation. Contingencies SHOULD fire at once,
but there's often a great delay.
When they're supposed to fire, disengage and run, trying
to "simulate" a safe time-window.
3)If possible, this would be my choice in real life!

Sounds like a no-no to me, since the contingency fires only once. Just buys some time. Do correct me if I'm wrong, though.Originally posted by UserUnfriendly

it does buy time, so you go into contingency spell, which like its much better big brother, has instant acuity...and reload.,.
but usually i rarely bother, too much hastle, most battles aerie is fainting, and is still falling by the time its over....

Contingency is weird in that it doesn't _always_ fire automatically when it should. I try moving around when it doesn't and usually it kicks in.
On a side note, I've just realized you can cast chain contingency when time stopped/imp. alacried and have it fire off before the end of time stop if you set condition see enemy or something. I love that. It gives you three extra horrid wiltings (on top of the three you've already cast during the time stop) and that's gotta hurt...
Tried doing this through project image, but it didn't work. I had a sequencer and a trigger active before projecting image and when I tried casting chain contingency it got me to the trigger screen and wouldn't let me leave...
