The technical side of it is no problem, it's the dealing with demanding, unappreciative, needy customers that I don't really like. But of course without them, no job.

..I actually love my patients..If all I had to do is take care of them, I would never want to leave the Hospital...But as Medicine in the US becomes more and more regulated by the government, my job seems to reflect more on my clerical skills than my nursing skills. That is what bring me down...

I enjoy most of what I do, but it's the odd customer who simply demands immediate attention for the most insignificant and trivial problems that irritate me. People who do really stupid things don't bother me either, just the ones that don't appreciate what's being done for them. I suppose everyone gets that though. *sigh*

Yes I suppose they do...I see alot of people who refuse to take resposibilty for their own lives and choices, and then want us to fix all the years of mistakes already made. They often will not accept the limits of what can be accomplished.

I see a lot of that sort of thing too, people who want me to perform miracles with equipment that has no chance of doing what they want, or getting the functionality of something without the pricetag. I know it sounds very cold and uncaring, but I have very little sympathy for people who want me to do that.

LOL.In looking back over our conversation I am amazed at how simmilar our jobs seem to be.. When peaple ask me what it's like, doing my job, I tell them it's much like a mechanic overhauling carbourators. You roll one in, pop the hood, fix the pump, and roll 'em out...
