For Jaheria
use either the gauntlets of ogre power or a girdle of frost giant or hill giant strength.

with the extra strength you can equip her with some badass armor to give her a high AC, plus you can get the amulet of power (to prevent level drain) so she can take out vampires with ease.

i like to equip her with SPEAR +3, the impaler, damn good weapon that few use i think. or you can go use a scimitar with shield

plus with her cleric spells, shes great at casting fire elementals or insect plague (great for taking out mages)

i think shes pretty damn good, but not the best tank

yeah ive got the pin

i didnt get the harper pin, until after i got out of the underdark. that is when that guy Terminsel (not sure if thats spelled right) came and gave it to me (the same guy who tells you that jaheria left the group to go take care of harper business)

its like 40 days after you kill dermin, but ive read that you can use a cheat to make it happen like after one day

Two words: Iron Skins! Kinda like Stoneskin, but Jaheira can use it, with a girdle of strength, Impaler/SpearOfWithering she can dish out serious damage!

Yes.... Jaheira is a good tank with proper equipment of course :

My suggestion :
- Some good helmet (I used Balduran's helmet)
- This red club that could be bought in Trademeet (I don't remember the name)
- Sling +5
- Some good shield (sentinel, etc.)
- Cloak of sewers
- Ring of protection
- Ring of holliness
- Harper pin
- Armor (not precised - When PC is FMC or MC she uses Armor from Firksraag scales)
So sayeh

I must say that eventhough I like Jaheria she has never been consideret a tank, a little fighter but far most a cleric. compare her to a real good tank (like Korgan or Minsc) she is nowhere near but she can fight.

I use jaheira as a tank, since she is a fighter. without doubt she is the best person to go head to head with the Vampires cos the Druid part allows the use of the Amulet of power. I supply her with good armour, girdle of hill giant Strength. and normally the +4 medium shield with the +3 Club that does an extra 3 points od acid damage. In addition, she can still cast spells when clerics use silence 15' Radius because of the amulet. :D

Equip her with armor from Limited Wish, Helm of Baldurian or other, give some staff+4 (the best druid's one is +3, so this when +4 is not necessary), some Girdle of strength, gauntlets of dex or weapon expertise (yes, i know it's from BG1) or of blinding strike (oil of speed may fit, though, as well). And if you let her drink 2 potions of Mind Focusing and another one of Giant strength, she might clear area for you in breeze :) I use her as tank often, because in my most advanced game from true tanks i mostly have only Minsc. After all with some patience she may have near to 100 HP (she doesn't appears like that, does she? ;) )

In Hell, I had Jaheira with Red Dragon Scales, Ring of Gaxx, ring of protection +2 (from green dragon), staff of the woodlands +4. Not a great thac0, but -11 AC(!!!) She faced Irenicus, firestorm, demon after demon, and with proper magic protection she STILL stayed alive.

J is my favorite NPC, and I've had her with me in nearly every game, so I've experimented with her equipment quite a bit. Armor, ring, and cloak are up to you and depend on who else you have with you, but the following is a must: Amulet of Power, strength item. As for weapons, by far the most effective combo is: Sentinel sheild, Belm, Blackblood, Sling of Everard. Use Belm most of the time. It gives an extra attack, which is always nice. Use Blackblood for clay golems and against anything you need +3 weapons to hit.

Great thing is, all three of these items come from the same quest, which is one you can complete fairly early in the game. Since you don't get Staff of the Woodlands +4 till the very end of the game, there's not much point thinking in terms of staves.

Jaheira is one of my favorites, too. In some games I like to equip her with a good club and shield, and in others, I like to give her Impaler.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

I had Jaheira using Belm (for the extra attack) and when I had a closer look at a club I had picked up (+3? +2additional splinter damage each round for 4? rounds) I realised the club did FAR more damage than any other weapon I could equip her with. I think I got the club at the Druid Grove or Trademeet. It's hot.

You need to improve her THAC0 a bit though, because by the time your fighters are about 12th level, her THAC0 starts to lag a bit.

Percy, it's a good weapon, but there's a lot to be said for that Staff of Thunder and Lightning +2: lightning bolt, call lightning, thunderclap in melee--truly, fun for the entire family.

I liked Jaheira dual wielding clubs, Gnasher +2 with it's extra splinter damage, and Blackblood +3 with it's acid damage. I found this a great combo and you can get it all in the druid grove/Trademeet quest.

HOWEVER, my all time favorite weapon for her in the spear Impaler +3, as pointed out by Yacobod above. This does massive damage and is just plain cool! Often overlooked, this is one of the game's greatest weapons!

Impaler among the best in the game??
Thats crap!

Someone mentioned equipping her with a lot of great equipment to ame her a great tank, but the same is true about most fighterlike characters. Besides, why waste all that good equipment on a druid?

In my party she is a backupcharacter that gets in there if needed only. she isnt a poor tank, but there are betters, and i prefer having her cast spells in the mayor battles.
In most minor she wont be needed to tank.
