Amulet

Which beholder dungeon are you looking in? It is in the one in the Underdark, not the Cult of the eyeless. Try pressing tab while in various areas to highlight spots that can be checked.

As @JSPChief says, the amulet can be found in the Beholder part of the Underdark. If you haven't been there, before, save prior to entering: it can be a tough fight, since your entire party is faced with two beholders upon entering.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

sorry, I forgot to mention which one. I meant the one in the Underdark, which I only have to search for now, because I have cleared the whole place of Beholders and Gauges(?) .

It was difficult, but finally Imoen came in useful with her chaos and hold spells. :P

I managed to provoke them to come to me one by one during the last, hardest bit (when there are quite a few), rather than run in and face all of them at once.

Luckily, my party of six are all levels 14-15, with quite a range so I did ok.

Is it actually in there and how good is this amulet ? Does it help that much against mind flayers ?

cheers everyone

If you don't mind a little cheese, you can have a mage cast the 7th level spell "Mordenkainen's Sword". This sword has drops a Greenstone amulet when it is killed in combat (or you can pick its "pocket" to get the amulet.) This is fixed by a Baldurdash patch and probably other patches, as well.
Resistance to Tyrants is Service to God.

even more cheese....

yes, that little drop was fixed by balderdash, and i think the tob install itself patched that....

if you have the sola mod installed, you pick up two more amulets in kangaxx guardians and vaygars home, with the illusionist....

now those two amulets need never be activated, just place on a npc and cast web, to test....

i dont know if wes fixed it, but i did post on his forum a while back.....
They call me Darth...
