Mages?

Post by Gorgan »

I want to play a mage type character. I wanted him to be kind of like a field mage. More the rough "adventure" type. I was thinking about going with the traditional light armored or the unarmored mage. And then i was going to, instead of the staff, use a sword. Or would it be better to get heavier armor? I dont think i have to really worry about weight cuz i have some cool mods like pets and backpacks.

My race is already set. Its gonna be BRETON.

Any ideas are appreciated
thanks

Why not go for heavy armor? I'm playing the kind of mage you're discussing, and he's got a high heavy armor skill. It makes a difference, epsecially as you run into those increasingly nasty melee types.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Then download the Rhedd's Head mods (mentioned in the absolutely must download thread of a couple of days ago) if you plan to play a male character, or the Pretty Faces mod (available on most mod sites) if you plan a female. Speaking for myself, the in-game Breton heads and hair are so awful that I never could bring myself to play one until these mods addressed that.
