Armor?

Post by Gorgan »

do you think it would be wothwhile to just not put any armor style int eh major/minor slots. It is fairly easy to level these skills up.

What is your opinion

Possible not to include any armor skill(s) in the major/minors? Sure.
A good idea? Probably not.

Are they easy to build? Sure. But do you really want to start the game with an armor rating of like, 2, no matter what armor you're wearing? Even having unarmored in your minor skills will give a significantly better rating then that at the beginning of the game.

I major in all types of armor...not sure I like that decision now, but I still did it. :)

Heavy Armor a Must

IMHO, you have to major or minor in heavy or medium. I think both allow for improvements to endurance which is important early in the game. Your endurance determines the additional Health you receive each level up. If you have one as a major/minor skill, you can be sure to improve the skill 10x, earn the level up and gain the 5x multiplier for Endurance. While this is going on, many other activities like running, jumping, fighting, and spellcasting will improve a variety of skills so you'll have other bonus multipliers as well. But make sure to level up through armor improvemnt the first 5 levels which translates into an increase of 25 to Endurance and a much improved health.
