Evil Game

Post by Fallen Angel »

Are there any quests out there were you get more rewards for being evil then being good, if so what?

I ask because there are quite a few quests where you can reputaion(like the circus in the begining) that are pretty significant, but isn't good roleplaying for an evil character.

So whats an evil party to do to catch up to that paladin who helps everyone for those extra 500,000 experience?

Quite often, the only difference between an "evil" quest and a "good" quest is the motive for doing it. If you do it out of the goodness of your heart and ask for no reward, it's "good". If you do it only for the money, it's considered "evil". For example, if you want to play an evil character, tell Nalia you won't help her unless she pays you a LOT of money. I realize that's a lame way to play an evil party, but Nalia's money is green, if you know what I mean.

There are a few evil quests you can do. Go to work for the Cowled Wizards. Work for Bodhi instead of the Shadow Thieves. (Personally, I don't think that's any more evil than working for the Shadow Thieves, but lots of other people think it's evil.) Let Mazzy rot in her cell. Poison the Druid Grove. Bringing Kangaxx's body parts to him to release him from his imprisonment (and subsequently wearing his horribly evil ring) is also an evil thing to do (which doesn't stop anyone from doing it).

If all else fails, use your imagination to create your own dialogue as you play, complete with malevolent laughter. :)

A very good example:
In the bridge district, I accidentally (must be clues leading to it)
ran into a kidnapped woman.
Kill the kidnappers and keep her hostage to claim the reward
-listen to what your evil members say about it- the reward is.....
suitable.
Get Human Flesh, Kill the Silver Dragon, join with Neb!
Kill 'm all!Go get 'm Boy, Fetch!

Okay just listen to VonD and use your EVIL imagination....

As much as its advertised or promoted otherwise, SoA is geared towards Good. You'll reap more awards and XP from good-based decisions than evil. However, you can only acquire certain items (none of them terribly important except for a certain pair of pantaloons) through evil decisions.

Another benefit of being good is that parties with a higher reputation get lower prices from merchants.

At one point you'll literally go to the nine hells, and face a series of challenges. The evil choices provide nicer results: a fine sword, retained stats, a magical cloak, etc.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I am having a bit of trouble with this game, with just myslef Korgan, Vic, and Yoshi some really easy battles a quite diffurcult. I haven't gotten my swash skills back and as a party we just don't deal out enough non magical damage, so things like golems are a female dog.

So when I get my swash skills is the swashmage a good enough fighter? IF not what fighter should I pick up?

You should be carrying several different weapons for different situations. Certain golems require piercing only, or blunt only weapons. Example, Clay Golems are blunt only.
