what 5 npcs r everyone using.. at the same time pls mention what ur main character is...

My main char is Bordin Steelaxe, of course

He's a lvl 16 Dwarven Wizard Slayer (with Blue hair and gray skin). (Tough to play I think, because you can't drink potions

)

His party Npc's are:
Minsc lvl 15
Anomen lvl 16
Valygar lvl 12 (just picked him up and left Jaheira, a tough decision though, took me some time

)
Nalia lvl 15
Imoen lvl 14

yoshimo - i am going to dual class him to fighter when he reached level 13

He convesations between the NPC in an evil party is just so cool, and when Edwin finally thought he had a major breakthrough with the Nethereese schroll it turned him into a woman. I almost fell of my chair!!

(btw anyone know how to turn him back, or if you can have a romnance with him

At level 10 with this party i whupped Firekraag and his Admanite golem

Well, my first time (I'm close to the conclusion) I did a multi-player game on my own, so to speak. I have four characters from BG 1 that I use: Priestess of Lathander (protagonist), a Fighter, a dual-class Fighter/Thief (dual-classed to thief at level 6), and an invoker Mage.

As NPC's I'm using Minsc (you just gotta love his remarks - and when equipped with the talking sword, it only gets better), and currently Jaheira.

I've had Anomen and Imoen tag along for some time as well; all the other NPC's I've had in my party were only there because there was a quest for them (like Valygar and the Sphere, Cernd and the Druid Grove, ...).

But about party-composition, has anybody ever done this one to accompany the protagonist?
- Edwin
- Korgan
- Keldorn
- Minsc
- Yoshimo

If you compare their alignments, you'll know what I mean ...

My first time playing I raced through with my Ranger/Cleric, which have access to both druid and cleric spells. Basically just went with Minsc, Jaheira, Keldorn, Jan (then Imoen), and Aerie.

It is now my second time and I like what I have much better. I imported my new character, my fighter/mage/cleric. I have Minsc, Jaheira, Yoshimo, and Anomen. Right now I thinking of going for Mazzy. And then possibly dropping Minsc for Keldorn to see how Keldorn, Mazzy, and Anomen will interact since Anomen is now a member of Radiant Heart and Mazzy is paladin-like.

at the moment i am using a level 20 swashbuckler as my main char. Which comes in really handy in the beggining, because you can steal your inital equipment, and save your money for better supplies later. The char is also as tough as any fighter char you can throw at it, doing up to 50 damage in hits. I have the char using two weapons skill, and i have two longswords, adjatha (?sp?) the drinker, and the equalizer. as for my npc's, i'm using..

kahleria, i totally forgot her name, hehe, but the druid chick from bg 1 hehe.

i like having 2 mages because whenever i can't beat a battle i summon up a bunch of creatures than weaken the enemies with fireballs from as long of distance as i can, then send my creatures in to mop up the battered monsters. it usually works. well, i hope this helps you out.

Do NOT waste your time on Yoshimo, in fact don't even let him join you at anytime during the game, not even when you're trying to get out of the jail in the beginning. It'll be tough but very possible.
If you find yourself in need of his lockpicking and trap disarming skills, just hold tight until Imoen come back to go back and pick all those other locks.
You'll be sorry if you do.

Almost any combination of the NPC's in the game can be workable from a game play perspective -- although some are harder than others. But the interactions between players make this a harder decision.

Right now I have 3 games going and a couple more.
1) CG/M Sorcerer, Minsc, Jahiera, Aerie, Nalia, Imoen (Had to leave Haer'dalis in Spellhold to take Imoen).
2) N/F Druid(Shapeshifter), CG Dwarf Berzerker, Nalia, Anomen
3) LG/M Monk, Aerie, Anomen, Kelgorm, Nalia
4) CN/M Barbarian, Viconia, Edwin, Korgan,
5) something, Edwin and Minsc, Viconia and Kelgorm, ? - probably will rotate this last slot a lot. I'm looking for the most possible intra-party conversation.

I am a Fighter/Mage/Thief (nice combo)
I can't use my spells during a fight, because of my armor, but I cast them before the fight to protect and strenghten me.

My main character is a Sklad (120 lore) with

Minsc (dead brain)
Korgan (dwarven panzer)
Valygar (top scout)
Aerie (scary w/ Mace of 18 str in hand)
Jan (quick fingers)

That's 3 mage spells users + 1 cleric + 2 rangers w/ priest spells. Also the skald is able to cast spells w/ armor on once you find the Melodic chain (cult of eyeless quest)

I had Korgan for his quest and i wiil take Valygar als

nly Kledorn and Edwin haven't join yet.(Yoshimo is excluded for known reasons).
This second try is ending in an all-girl party and it is great fun! Viconia is hot and evil (the way she should be) and she is teasing everyone.She said to Aerie something like "So you are from the winged folk?How does it feel you can't fly anymore?" and Aerie responded almost crying! "How can you be so cruel?". Then he told Jaheira "Who was human and who was elf ,your father or your mother? (because she is a half-elf!) and she replied angrily!.And with Mazzy there were ready to start a catfight:she told her something "Well,you want to be a paladin, shorty?Wow!" and in respond Mazzy threatened her.I believe interactions in this game are real fun.Try different party combinations to discover them.

I'm having to carry both Jaheira and Viconia because I think Viconia is the best cleric in the game hands down. I have her with Girdle of Hill Giant Strength, Dragon Scale Armor and Shield and Helm and her AC is -9 and made her proficient in Flail and gave her the Flail of Ages. She kicks ass. But I want to play through JAheira's romance thread so I'm keeping her too. So as much as i know it's a stupid idea i'll have to drop Edwin for Imoen

because I feel funny playing the game through without Imoen. Plus I'm NG both times. Third time through I'll play as an evil char and dump her.
