Tombelthen's Cache location?

Post by SkumMonkey »

In the cell that Mazzy is in (Ruined Temple north of Umar) is the second half of a journal that hints that a cache of goodies is located in one of the stone column outcroppings that dot the southern half of the 1st Temple ruins map... has anyone found this cache? Where is it?

Funny...

I just went through it myself and found that one, too... there has to be a letter part 1, aye? I'll just have to look for it now Image

The second part of the note and the 'treasure' show up in a pillar of stones after you go back to the village and talk to Minister Lloyd. This part of the story line might only work if you are a ranger. It didn't work for a fighter/mage. I think you have to be able to take the job of protecting the town as their ranger. If you need/want more info:

As the ranger for this area the boy Delon will approach you peridically and ask you to go back to his town. During one of these trips you will be told about a lord who is planning to destroy the forest where the Shade Lord was living. He is hunting for the treasure. Go to the bottom right part of the area. The stone pillar surrounded by trees ( which yes you checked 100 times before ) now has a mithril chain and the 2nd part of the note. If anything else shows up there I haven't found it yet, and I've been in the screen a few times since then.

Thx for the tip!

I will try it out later today then.

A bit confusing though I think. Why put the note there when there is no need for it?? Confuses me Image
