OK, so maybe I was a little premature on Viconia. Nevertheless, I didn't bother to revive her when a vampire snuck up and smooshed her. No problem, there's still Anomen and Aerie, right? Then Anomen turned on me when he washed out of the order and we left the corpse on the Order's doorstep. Still Aerie. Except now I can't get into the Circus and the guard at the door won'r even talk to me. Ooooooppppsie!
And I still can't get to Umar, thence to Trademeet or the druid grove. and since I therefore can't find Valygar, I can't get into the Planar Sphere which I REALLY want for my new digs.
Three questions:
1) Is there any way to recover a dead NPC who was already removed from the party?
2) Is there any way to get into the Circus or can Aerie be found anywhere else.
3) Is there a point at which a passed quest is permanently lost? I really need to kill that Shadow dragon (it's a guy thing).

Sudden cleric shortage - help!
@Ollamnh,
1/ No(without cheating).
2/ Did you do the tent quest before? If you can't just step in. Then the guard probably won't talk to you because your charism and rep is too low?
3/ The other map areas will only show up on your map once you've spoken to the right people and you can only travel to some areas from the City Gates (for the first time).

I deliberately skipped the tent thing early on because I really didn't want Aerie (she whines). The party isn't evil, although my PC mage is. Otherwise I'm running Minsc, Jaheira, Keldorn, Jan and Nalia. Still, there've been a couple of 'iffy' episodes like cutting down Ladia Delcia D'Arnise because of her elevated snoot and my rep is a sickly 7. I'd not have thought that'd bust a guard's chops with a charisma of 12, though.
I'm wandering around the upper level of Watcher's Keep just now (strictly a treasure hunt) but plan to head back to Athkatla to try to get the missing quests and find a cleric that can actually turn undead.
OK, speaking of quasi-legal, I don't have my manual here, but isn't there one of the "authorised" cheats that'll bring a desired PC? I'll settle for just getting into the Circus, though.

@Ollamnh, my last time through the game I did not have a cleric...my pc was a druid avenger, and with Jaheira they had enough healing spells to get me by. I never bothered with turn undead when I did use a cleric...if you get Daystar, and use a protection from undead scroll, you can send one party member into a room of undead and create havoc

LOL your story is great. what you can do is get mass raise dead and cast it on the corpse
I think this works im not sure but i post my opinion anyway... Cast resurection(with rod temples dont work because they are stationary) on the corpse and it might revive them. As i said, this is not guaranteed but worth trying...
Have ever gave a thought about dualing your PC? if you have 17+ wisdom and 15+ strength(your character's prime resiquite) you can dual your PC, according to 2nd edition DnD.
You wont need a cleric when you a priest when you get to ToB because planetars are great(better than devas, in my opinion). Or get cernd, whom i dont recommend(low wisdom, low strength, other great stuff and look weird)...

Life seems short considering how long you will be dead.

Cheat to bring a creature into the game:Originally posted by Ollamnh:

CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("creature_name")
Replace creature_name with the creature you want, ie. AERIE10 (Aerie as 9th level cleric/11th level mage). This has been exploited to the hilt, with people even playing with beholders and what-not in the party.
I'm not sure what's going on with the circus guard, but if he's telling you, "Are you still planning on going inside? I didn't think so." - you should be able to just go inside.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...
