Broken weapons?

Post by Nynaeve »

Merry Christmas, all. Image

Okay... after completing most of Irenicus' dungeon, I returned to a box where I'd stored some equipment, only to find a "Broken weapon" among the contents. The description reads:

"This is all that remains of an enchanted weapon." The image with it basically looks like shattered bits of a long sword.

I don't remember what item this was, but it was just sitting in the box for a few game hours. Everything else in the box is intact. Has anyone here ever encountered this before, or know why this would have happened? Btw, this was in the room where you fight Ilyich.

Merry Christmas to you. Yes i have had this happen. And every time it is right after fighting Ityich the Duergar. But in my case the sword is already broken before i pick it up.I though it was because i had Imoen toss three fireballs in the room before i went in.I don't what causes this but maybe some else will.PS i have not run in to this any where else in the game.

Hmm... The thought had occurred to me that the weapon could've been broken before I got to it... I didn't toss any fireballs or other magic around in there, but Ilyich's mage friends did, so maybe they hit the box. But I could swear I emptied it out right after that battle and didn't find anything broken.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback, at least now I know I'm not alone.

I think Bioware put in the item "broken weapon" for poeple who likes to bash open the chest instead of picking the lock or unknock it. Since I never bash a chest before so I'm not sure if it's for that purpose.

That makes sense. Though I haven't bashed open any chests this time around, just picked the locks.
