hmmm apparently this is a mud-slinging thread
Haven't encountered too many of those so I think I'll drop in my 2 cents.
1.The game is not too easy. While I agree that there are fairly straight-forward ways of taking out just about everyone, I think that this is (difficulty-wise) one of the most well balanced RPG's that I have played.
Freedom scrolls are not the answer to Kangaax. Most people take him out well before they head to spellhold, thus before the adventurer's mart opens up its special wares. Obviously, for advice on how to kill kangaax in an early, effecient way you can check one of ten threads not to mention the strategy section of this board. If you do wait until after the underdark to take on Kangaax, then there are better, more efficient ways of taking out Kangaax, even without scrolls. (no offense intended to mr. rjskard (sp?) just my 2 cents)
While I do admire your ability to go through the game with very few deaths on your first try, (I personally died about 30 times my first time through) I don't think that anyone else is worse off for not doing as well. Other factors play in along with personal skill. For instance, if you min-max your pc and try to develop the most powerful party regardless of the role playing aspects of the game (and I'm not saying that you do) then it will be easier.
Another way of playing, though is to balance your character and focus more on the roleplaying aspects of the game. Hence not using the "best" most powerful characters if they don't fit in your party.
