Party question

Post by NeoCount »

I've done BG2 a dozen times or so, with full parties. This time I'm a totemic druid with no intentions of dualing. I want to have a party of three - which one to take with me (npc from the game, not those I make myself)? I'd probably need a tank and a thief. And what about mages?

Thanx

Tank, Minsc or Korgan. The two best natural strengths, and two great personalities.

Theif or Mage? Why not both. Jan (great with Minsc) and/or Imoen.

Hmmm...

Well, rather than reiterate the regular NPCs - I expect you know all of them by now - you could consider a MOD character like Valen the CE Vampire fighter/thief or Solaufein CG Drow Fighter/mage (though you can't pick him up untill the Underdark) - or one of the others, like the sorcerers Tashia or Kelsey (see reference crossroads above)

Jan/Minsc is a pretty hilarious combo, though ;)

Thank you

I'd decided to go with the crazed ranger and Jan. Now, don't kill me, but I have never took jan with me. BTW, the totemic druid is great - Anoman, rot in hell you wheeny :D

Jan's a good choice. He's the best thief in the game, and a game mage who can become a great one in ToB.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Jan is my favorite npc

for a back up mage all you need is someone who can cast breech and dispell

great lines and a wicked backstabbing killer with the right weapon

Aerie is wicked, with that gigantic spell list of hers, and the ability to have triggered priest spells (like Harm....ouch!) - doubly so if you have ToB installed. But she isn't as funny as Jan

PS Anomen=teh win!

Minsc and Jan (and Boo) would make a great company, yes yes. You can put Keldorn instead of Minsc, but then you lose Boo and get somebody very righteous but slightly boring instead.

For some serious fun, pick Anomen then make 4 custom clones with the same portrait, voice sets, etc same everything and off you go! :D :D :D mwwahaha

Pick up both Minsc and Korgan, go to the CC, and attack Anomen. Allow only Minsc or Korgan to actually fight. Whichever gets the credit for killing Anomen gets to go along with you :D

so you see. this is not my idea....

hack the portraits, and the voice sets, and convert aerie, minsc and jan into anomen's....same standard voice sets, same portraits and same avatars...

Really good idea. But if I could I'd send Boo straight to Anoman's eyes and vocal cords...just imagine him lying helplessly on floor with Boo dancing all over his face. :D
