restarting

i dont understand. due to some problems,i had to remove windows xp and go back to 98se as my operating system. iv reinstalled morrownd. have also updated driver for matrox mill450 dual video card. alo installed 9x for directx. probem is game freezes,which t didnt before, also went from one cave back to a tomb where id previouslt been,and game kicked out and went to my startup screen.icons on screen were all white with only outline visible wuth text id.is ths due to dx9 or what, 9 cant be uninstalled,according to micro. help please as i realy want to get back into this game. morrowind patch has aso been instaled. thanks if you can help or not

There are special Dx9 uninstallers. A quick search @ google lists many of them.

I have DX9, I don't have any problems with Morrowind, so I am not sure that that is what the problem is.

I have had several technical problems with MW and the TechSupport group are quite good at helping. While you may luck out with advice here, you best bet is with them.
