Maybe problem? (possible minor spoilers)

Post by Spathi »

Well, I had just entered the Slums when I realized I wanted to be in Waukeen's Promenade. Unfortunately, this happened to be the moment that Terl, the guy that tells you about Anomen's sister's death, appeared. He followed me to the Promenade and gave me his message there, no problem. However, once I returned to the Slums and continued around Athkatla, Terl followed me! He wouldn't talk to me, though - if I clicked on him it gave me that "this character has nothing to say to you" message. This wasn't the worst part, though; that came when I was in the Temple district sewers and got into a fight with those bandits down there. Terl fought on my side initially, but midway through the fight he turned red for some reason - I'm not sure why. Naturally, I killed him. This hasn't seemed to affect my reputation or alignment, but I'm afraid that he will be needed at some later point to give me another message from Anomen's dad. Does anyone know if killing Terl has bad consequences? I'm romancing Anomen, so it's even more important for my character.

Thanks in advance!

Did Terl correctly deliver his message (check your journal)? If he did, I don't think there's anything to worry about.
The Anomenromance is a bit buggy. Did you install any pathes?
If not, check this site out: www.baldurdash.org

My guess is that the Terl character was created in the Slums, then when you went to the Promenade another Terl was created, who delivered his message (since the first one did not). Then when you went back to the Slums, the first one followed you but couldn't deliver the message because it was already delivered. Killing him under these circumstances shouldn't have any consequences since the message was delivered successfully.

Any future messages (of which there aren't any, as far as I know) would have required the Terl character to be recreated anyway, so killing him only did what the AI should have done in the first place.
