Stuck in Tribunal, cant find any FAQ help

I'm at the Dome of Udok.. I pull the lever on the side of the room and the FAQ says a bridge should appear but nothing changes. I stood there for about 5 minutes and there wasnothing different.. I backtracked to the room with the blade to see if there was some sort of a bridge that had appeared around there, but nothing.. so if anyone can offer some suggestions, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to finish up Tribunal before starting Bloodmoon.

Often no-one will post because they don't know the answer, and rather than have many posts telling you they don't know, people just won't post.

There is the odd time when the question has been answered many times and people can't be bothered to repeat, and doing a search of this (or other forums) will turn up the answer.

I have 100 strength base (and have for a good 5 levels or more) and 120 with items on, it's not an issue with that hence my question.

I can't remember exactly what happened when I pushed the lever to get the bridge. I knew I needed 100 strength is all.

If it didn't work, I know not what advice to give.
