Dog meat

Post by Susan »

OK, I know that I need to distract the Umber Hulks in the De'Arnise Keep with the dog meat. But how does this actually work? All I seem to be able to do is to leave the pot on the ground next to the area with the dog skeletons - the hulks totally ignore this and slaughter my party anyway... please help!!

One thing you must remember with this area, is to place the dog meat. I did the area this way:

Wiped the Hulks with Cloud Kill (4x6000xp). Then I went and placed the dog meat (18000xp).

So, as you basicly can see, this area is good exp for low levels Image

This was a long time ago for me but I think that you need to put the stew somewhere else.

I remember some sort of prison. You could see that the Umber hulks had been digging a tunnel here. At the beginning of the tunnel there was a highlighted patch (like a container or chest). It was empty so I figured I had to put the stew in there. I can't remember if I got any points for it. And as I had allready killed the hulks there was no reaction.

Hope this helps....

If you have a cleric you could use chaotic commands which will leave your people closed off to mind control; note this also works with mind flayers.

You could have put this question in the section about the dog bones thus saving space on the board Image

my approach was to cast invisibility on my brute of a half-orc fighter. Then went to the tunnel and "opened" the "chest" with the dog skeletons inside. I placed the stew next to the skeletons and continued out the loop. I got the rest of the party together and killed the umberhulks one by one. having my orc use the Lilarcor blade prevented any confusion effects and from there it was pretty simple to hack and slash them.
