Lightsaber Preference?-KotOR

Hey, im wondering, just out of curiosity, in Star Wars : Knights of the Old Republic, what is everyones favorite lightsaber color, and do you wield 2 sabers, a double bladed, just one?

I use 2 light sabers rather than a dual lightsaber because this way you can add more crystals to your sabers. I followed the traditional colors and used blue since my Jedi is a Guardian.

Double weild. Although I have a short saber in my off hand.

Both are Violet cause they matched my armor.

I switch between using two lightsabers (one short) for fighting against blasters, since they seem to deflect better; and the double for use against melee attacks. Colors are green and purple care of the Joker.

i used a double bladed saber the first time i played the game and then the second time i used one normal saber and a shorter saber. Prefered the double bladed saber

But with two sabers you can use 4 power crystals instead of 2 with the double ended. I tried to go through it again using a double ended and it just seemed to take longer to kill stuff.

I personally use two against blasters, one with i think sigil and this other crystal that combined with the sigil makes it deflect blasters +10 or something, i dont remember, and when it comes to melee i use a double ended, mine are also violet, well whenever i can find a violet i use it, its the greatest lightsaber color. Gotta go beat malak again

Well...the first time around the game I used two lightsabers, blue and red. But Im goin thru the game again and Im using one lightsaber..and its red, but when I fight like tough droids..I pull out a krath double sword to defeat them...It works better on'em than lightsabers....I actually think using one lightsaber is better rather than using double or two single bladed...i dunno...my opinion. I'll prolly go thru the game again using nothing but blasters, see how that turns out.

I always use 2 lightsabers. a short on in left hand.
I never have mixed colours because it looks crud. Although I have to get used to it with the mega crystals.

Both are Violet cause they matched my armor.

Would that be Daviks. I always give that to Carth.
I always wear Jedi robes so I can do all force powers.

Lightsaber Preference

Dual-sabers. I've never used anything else. The double-bladed saber always seemed too blah to me, and I like using crystals to enhance damage, which you can do a lot better with 4 slots with 2 sabers than 2 slots with a double-bladed. I'm almost always using red lightsabers; why? Because I've always been big with the bad guys, and frankly I just like the color. Yellow is my least favorite color; I can't even stand Bastilla using a yellow lightsaber, I always change it. I've only gotten the special crystals at Yavin once, and the colors weren't that bad, so that weird orangeish and white/blue-ish is my second choice after red.

Either a single, or a doublebladed, depending on character build (dueling vs two-weapon-fighting feats). A doublebladed will do more damage and allows a more efficient use of power crystals (you only need 2 crystals per Jedi). I don't care much for other effects besides high attack and/or damage bonusses, the blaster wielders don't get past my AC and IER anyway.

For critical Strike users however, doublebladed should be avoided because of it's smaller critical threat range.

Presently I'm trying to decide between a double, two small ones, or one small/one regular. I like the way two small ones look, and my color preference is violet just because being a sentinel and bright yellow hurting my eyes. It's also easier to tell the difference in my inventory.

I'm going through my second time around, Dark this time, and refuse to use anything other than a double bladed saber. I just can't give up the massive damage it inflicts. Love it.

I'm presently using the violet crystal with Sigil and Krayt Dragon Pearl.

I keep my company equipped similarly, but keep the violet for myself.

I use the double-bladed lightsaber because it is in my favourite. Green double is quite cool, but the purple ones is the best.

I wanna point out to all the 4 crystal vs. 2 crystal double blade haters out there. A double blade is like two sabers because it attacks twice per round, right. A double blade with 2 crystals is like two sabers with the same crystals. Don't let that crystal thing bother you unless you want your off hand for defence and regular for attack or damage or something. I don't like the double saber, though... Not my style... I'll use the two sabers or one.

Yeah double-bladed lightsabers jsut dont look as kool as two seperate sabers
and the colours have to be 2 green or 2 purple or green and purple

from what i've read and researched,

offense-double bladed
defense-single blade

so can you switch sabres in battle? or before an encounter? it seems to me that for the soldier counselor pc i am planning, emphasis on melee and force powers, that if you can switch between two sabres, you've got it made...best of all, you can drop two weapon feats, and concentrate on power attack, flurry route.

(haven't got the game yet, tomorrow!!!)

Malta, you've got it right...There are no yellow, orange or teal lightsaber colors in SW, so blue and green really are NORMAL...although, I must admit that when I first rescued Bastila, her yellow lightsaber annoyed me, but that one was intended for her, so I left it that way. To my surprise, later in the game, I didn't mind yellow color any more - it even started to look kinda cool... But my favorite color is purple, because ever since I saw Mace Windu (in my opinion, the coolest jedi of all) and his purple lightsaber, that color became my favorite. Although teal also looks pretty cool...
I'll take the dark path second time through the game and I intend to use only red lightsaber, because it just doesn't feel right to use any other color if you're playing as Sith.
