Unconscious then what?

Post by duncan1745 »

Okay, I've fought. One of my characters is out for the count, what can I do to raise them back to their feet. If I click on rest, that is on yellow, I do not get any health risen but only a new attack of monsters. Health spells do not work on the unconsious, what must I do? Do you wait for days and days and at last the health rises? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The manual says:

"A successful heal skill check with a DC of 15 from another character targeting the unconscious creature will stabilize it. Alternatively, any amount of magical healing will stabilize a creature. If a creature is healed back to one or more hit ppoints, he may act normally again."

Haven't gotten into any combat myself; just made a party last night and haven't finished reading the manual. Should begin play this evening.

Have fun.
Crush enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women.

Yes, this is unfortunate. Happened to me to, in a yellow tent area, so I just reloaded. Then it happened again, I stabilized the character and used a potion of minor healing on him instead which brough him to 0 hp. He was up and walking, but couldnt do anything, I kept him in sneak mode and in safe corners during combat until I could find a place to rest.

You _can_ rest in the yellow areas ... there is just a chance that you will get attacked by wandering monsters. Now, I rested in a yellow area 4 times (trying to regain cleric spells) and got attacked each time. So perhaps there is a better chance of meeting w monsters in some locations/times. I have successfully rested in yellow areas as well.
