HELP..first time,first level

Post by belbo »

Ok..i've done all that

Free Jaheira and Minsc - just talk to them
Free Reilev - talk to him, go down the south west passage, continue west until you hit the end, then turn right, continue and go in the door.
Free the Genie - locked door next the the duegars, need to find the key
Free the Dryads - talk to them, in area between Irenicus' and the Mistress' room.

And excuse my language but :eek: ....how do i exit this damn thing???I have 2 keys but cannot go through the portals...Am i missing something?(i looked for the answer on the forum and found nothing)

The portal key should be in one of the chests in the mistress' room.

Hello and welcome to GB!

In the room south of the dryads, you get a portal key that can't be dropped... when u have it in your inventory, just go to the portal and click on it. U must stand pretty close to it to get it to work sometimes, though...

More stuff...

In the room BEFORE you meet the Dryads, you'll find an item which will act as a key to the locked door over by Ilyich & Co. Well worth doing that bit, if you can, IMAO

You'll know you have the teleport key when you get an unremovable item (Imoen's girdle is the only other one)

Be careful of traps.....

Good luck on your quest.

Edit: I deleted this message in Romanian so that Ron_Lugge shouldn't feel offended (?) anymore. Now back to 'engrish' :)

a) primul - vei primi dept cadou un lightning bolt iar Minsc isi va pierde accentul rusesc;
b) ultimul - vei pierde jumatate din XP iar Jaheira va incepe sa danseze din buric;

@nephtu: Just ask. I'm always ready to help. :)

@Ron_Lugge: You're as scary as Boo sometimes. And what is 'engrish'. Make yourself useful and try to explain that, if you don't mind.
Your grateful servant (who's gonna let the righteous justice deal with you if you'll ever happen to yell like crazy at the innocent people). :)

Nah, I was really kiddding about the Romanian port for Weimer's stuff (i'm not involved in that whatsoever).

Engrish is the (often extremely odd) English that can be found on Japanese/Chineese/Korean products - frequently with highly fractured grammar & incomprehensible constructions.

Thank you, Nephtu.

It seems like Ron got a problem with Geography. Or Logic. Or both. But what difference does it make since he can speak such an enjoyable English. :) But, oh, I'd rather behave since that's none of my business! ;

Cheers

Half-right.

Engrish is any form of english that contains so many grammar and spelling errors as to have to be another language. (A common example is low-grade leetspeek. High-grade leetspeek is not an example of engrish, however. True engrish must be deciferable by an english-speaking person)

Well..

Actually, a Google search on Engrish gives heavily Japanese-flavored themes.

The word being unquestionably slang, it is of course open to debate, but I certainly wouldn't call l33tsp33k Engrish - it's really a dialect of moronese, IMAO.

Once it gets to the l33tsp33k phase its no longer engrish. I'm talking about something along the lines of:

hey, im new 2 teh forum. what happenin?

All-caps is another variant.

For me, the most important thing is that I understand 99% of what you say. :) Good for me! Everything else (engrish, blah-blah-blah) is irrelevant.
Since Europe is not an English colony (how ridiculous I have to mention that :) ), English may be a hobby, a tool but not an obligation. But enough "engrish" ranting.
Man, I have a game to play, now haven't I?! :)

Cheers :)

No, Europe isn't an Enlgish colony. But this is an english website, with an english speaking (primarily) clientel. Therefore, the primary language is english.

Also, FYI: I never report a post unless it clearly and specifficly violates the stated rules, and with the exception of forums where its against the rules to do so (Primarily http://www.ataricommunity.com Moo3 forums) I also state in the thread why I did so. So I'd like an apology for that PM'd accusation.

1. You don't get the point. And I'm not going to explain myself anymore; why should I
2. Stop emphasizing everything. I deleted the post. Case closed
3. "apology for that PM-ed accusation"? You must be joking. Don't push your luck. I could eventually reconsider the whole thing and substitute some certain words

Just let go

I think we (seriously) miscommunicated somewhere. You accused me of being a "bad" and "nasty" and "evil" man because I reported your post - this really PO'd me because I didn't even report it! As for "emphasizing everything" I have no clue what your talking about.

And finally... as far as not getting the point, why do you think I'm posting in such a confused and (vaguely) incoherent manner?

Let's just cut to the chase - you guys gonna fight or not ? :rolleyes:

Seriously that kind of discussion happens almost too often. You both should just drop it. As for the question who is in the right ...
clearly it's Ron - posting in different laungages then most commonly used is... frowned upon to say the least.

But all of this of little relevance since ... my pizza is here.
Bu-bye.
Death is what you make of it.
