Experience Disparity

Post by DraySkullan »

Yesterday I was noticing that all the character's in my party have slightly different amounts of experience. All my party members are single class, with no exotic subraces. All my characters have been in the party since the beginning of the game, no one has died or failed to finish a fight.

I can't think of any way they might have gotten individual experience totals, and can't think of any. It's not a large amount, so it's no biggie, just curious.

Is this a bug, or am I overlooking something?

experience could be division

I am sure that your question has been answered already somewhere in the annals of time here, but why not try again, right?

chances are one reason for the experience disparity is that when you get experience for fighting or quests the experience is divided amongst all your party members. So, if you have 6 people in your team, but get 40 experience for killing a monster, then each member gets 6 experience points but that leaves 4 left over that have to be either given to one character or given to 4 characters and 2 get none. You do this once and it is no biggie, but look at all the times that you have gotten experience over the course of the game and the pennies add up to dollars.

hope this gives some insight and help.
