Who else has had this happen to them??? Just having a gran ol time in the dungeon of the temple of evil becuase i have found the Orb of Golden death. Ive got burne with me and as we leave dungeon area 3, he tells me he needs to go back to his castle and uncover some mystery about the Orb. I tell him thanks for adventuring. After that things go awry. Burne's postal and starts attacking my party, WTH I dont get it??? I installed the CO8 patch realese. Could that be it??? Im eager to find out. The CO8 patch did help. While u rest in the dungeon and awake to find wandering monsters, they are no longer blocked by a wall. By pressing the "c" tab on the keyboard, the monsters appear, and u can take them out without having to restart a save.
Assuming that you cooperated with any of the evil parties on their quests, you have tarred Burne with your same brush, and he is aroused about it, *OR* the more likely bug strike is that you healed him with a spell.
Most of the hirelings go hostile because the code for them to recognize a "friendly" spell is bugged; but even if you just make a mistake with an area spell so your hireling is in the edge of it, he's going to get nasty when released.
As soon as Burne tells me he is leaving...I tell him thanks for adventuring. After that there is a door to the right and before he attacks I jump at the chance to enter it before he attacks. Then I go back through the door He is no longer there but he waiting at his castle. But he wont rejoin my party and that sucks!!! He is powerful though, he can memorize like 4 fireballs. I need another wizard if im going to finish this temple, Im off to recruit the female sorcerer. But thanks for the Info KIWI. Is there a patch yet???
