i have already do this chars
pure mage
sorcerer
archer
barbarian
assassin ,dont finished yet
tried monk,but sux
swashbuckler cleric sux too

A well played monk owns.
You should reconsider your statment

The only fight i couldn't get through was the last ToB fight with my Neutral Evil monk Girl.

-19 ac, 100 % magic resistance.. just owns.

Currently soloing SoA / ToB with a Fighter / thief, lots of fun

Edit, taken from one of my previous posts :

I'm soloing SoA and ToB as a Monk and i'm having a blast:

98% resist to magic, Immune to +1 weapons, -19 ac (yes.. -19 !)
and thaco of -9 (shall become -11 once i get Fire Giant strengh belt), pounding ennemies for 30-50 dmg is just.. well.. Powerfull

Monks are by far one of, if not the most, powerful classes D&D has to offer, once at high levels, though.

powerful?yes a lot i've played with them but they are really boring u keep all the game using your fists?!?!?i like to use the hands to cast spells...i will start another mage or sorceror right now hehehe...
