What combos do you guys use? Do you max out strength with strength belts and gauntlets ? (I used the Genohaardan (sp?) strength gauntlets +4 and CNS strength enhancer I believe.) What about implants, which do you use there (I only use response package, 'cause I can't hit level 3 to use regenerator)? Finally, what about head gear? When I play dark side I used the sith mask for force regeneration.
Are there combos I'm missing or better gear I'm not wearing?

For starters, u should definately keep the sith mask (even if you have like 200 fp its soooooo usefull by the end). For Implants get either cardio power system (constitution +4 found in mannan republic base after finding star map)
,Sith regenerator (I think u know that one) or cyber reaction system (dex +4 bought from Matton and Eli on Kashyyk). The best all round gauntlet is dominators (strength +5 (big, big spendas only) purchased form Mika Dorin's "special items" in korriban cantina). Best forearm shields are Verpine protoype shield ( 70 pts, energy electrical, heat, cold, sonic found on corpse of Saul Karath, Korriban cantina, Bastila has one on unknown world if u choose evil ending) and Yusanis' dueling shield (100 pts energy, electrical found on corpse of Thalia May in Korriban shyrack caves). Keep Cns thingy for ur belt and until u reach the starforge keep dark jedi master robes (once u get there go to second deck and turn left at blaster turret passage and go into room, slice computer and make customized robes) (u dont actually get to customize them but they're still pretty sweet: Strength +4, Defence +5, regeneration 1 )

The Sith mask is pretty cool, but I only use it if I am playing a dark character. If I play light side, especially a guardian, I use the stabilizer mask which also blocks mind-affecting attacks and gives +2 to all saves. That, when coupled with the cns strength enhancer (+2 strength +2 all saves) gives a total of +4 to all saves, which helps resist force points and grenades in the end.
For implants, I go with the +4 con package which I usually find for free, but I can't remember where. If I feel like spending money, I go for the sith regenerator, which is useful for darkside characters that don't get a heal power. If you are playing with Carth or using canderous as a gunner (I make him a melee death machine) I might go for the +4 dex implant.
I also noticed that there is only one intelligence boosting item the whole game, and that is the memory package, found on Gadon Thek. Since my character takes an intelligence hit to boost other skills, I usually go after Gadon and take his implant plus his power belt (+1 strength) early on. The memory implant is useful if your intelligence is low and need to boost skill levels, such as when attempting to repair hk-47.
When I fight Malak, even if I have Yusani's dueling shield, I usually start off with a verpine shield. The look the closest to the shields used in the David Lynch's version of Dune to any in the game. Props!

Those four items alone grant a crapload of Reflex saving throws, thanks to them and the effect of extra-high dexterity. My character actually got to the point where if he wore Cassius Fett's armor he would be losing Dexterity.

Since I usually like to balance My characters abilities,and hate being Dark(just a good soul, I guess) I go this route:
Scout/consular or guardian
set initial levels to 14 for the first three, 10 for intel., 14 for wis, 12 for char. ( or thereabouts, play with them as you wish), my attribute level ups go to dex or wis
Cyber reaction (dex3)or Gordulan reaction(dex4)level 3 implants, Verpine Ocular enhancer for my eyes, Genoharadan (Str4)or Dominator (str5)gauntlets, Verpine proto sheilds or Yusani's mentioned earlier, Star forge (wis5) or Revans(str4,def5,) robes, Jedi master til i get those, CNS strength enhancer for a belt.
for my Sabers( I love having two!!!)I use sigil (1d6)and opila(crit. hit 2-12 damage, Nextor is a good mate for this one,too) in one, and solari( Light 1-8 dam)and upari in the other, this will give hits on these sabers in the midthirties for just a standard hit. Critical strikes hit in the sixties
By the way this is for Xbox version, some items are different for the PC
