I've played through the game a number of times and have found a number of items which I can find no use for. One in particular is the Geanie Bottle. After freeing the Dryad's in the Windspear Hills, I pickpocketed them and came away with this item. It has no GP value and cannot be equipped in the quick slot. Anyone find a use for this thing?
Yes, there is a use for it, but you have missed your chance to use it.
I don't know how familiar you are with Irenicus's dungeon (where you start the game), but just in case I'm giving something away, I'm going to mark this post a SPOILER.

When you start the game, Irenicus has imprisoned the three Dryads. If you talk to them, they will tell you the name of your captor (Jon Irenicus) and ask you to help free them. That's what the acorn quest is all about.
Irenicus has other slaves in his chateau, including a genie in a bottle. If you rub the genie's lamp, he will come out of the bottle and tell you that he has something that belongs to you (a sword). He can't return it to you as long as he is enslaved, but if you release him, he will gladly give the sword to you. The way to release him is to give him the genie bottle that you pickpocketed from the Dryads. The Genie Bottle is a valuable item (because it keeps the genie enslaved and pliable to Irenicus's will), and Irenicus entrusted it to the Dryads. If you retrieve the Dryad's acorns, they will give you the Genie Bottle if you ask for it. Or, I suppose you can pickpocket it from them. And I suppose you can kill the genie to get your sword back. But if you didn't do any of that before you left Irenicus's dungeon, you can't go back and do it now. Sorry.
