Time Related - Spoiler

Post by davfra »

Is there any time limit for quests in this game? I have the Lanthorn that the elves want, but I`ve just come back from killing the Shadow Lord and I would now like to get the Hammer of Thunderbolts. I believe this means a trip to Windspear Hills and back to the sewers.
Would I mess the game up by doing this or doesn`t time matter?
I have the other items for this weapon to be made, and would like to know if it`s really worth getting the finished item.
Advice would be appreciated.
Cheers

1-time doesn't matter in bg2...I hate it I usually rest few times in the game.
2-What are the items? It's worth if you hve someone to use it because if you want to forge than and sell you will lose money...

Well, time does matter on some quests, but usually it's that something won't happen untill X time has elapsed. Some of the thieve's guild quests are time limited also, at least in the mod versions.

There is one quest (at least) in a mod, the Ritual, which IS tightly time based, but it's unusual. Otherwise, yeah, time and order are pretty flexible.

The Hammer of Thunderbolts is worth getting to make Crom Faeyr if you have anyone who'd use a +5 Hammer which resets your strength to 25
I have given up all lesser evils as inadequate to my purpose.

Most of the Quests in Ust'Natha (the Drow City) also have a time limit.
There are three kinds of people that no one understands: geniuses, madmen and guys that mumble.

So do these quests:

MASSIVE

S

P

O

I

L

E

R

1) All quests for the Paladin Stronghold (ie: If you have a Paladin and are accepted into the Order of the Most Noble Radiant Heart) except for investigating the Fallen Paladins and retrieving the Holy Avenger.

2) NPC quests where someone is sick and dying (ex: Jan, Mazzy).

I think that's it. Any others?
