Unexpected fights...

So there I was, taking a stroll through the docks district. Whack a beggar here, mug some merchant over there, just doing the usual stuff to relax. And some relaxation was what I needed, after getting the mighty house Despana butchered, turning some arrogant silver dragon into filet, and the whining of those war elves because they were stupid enough to lose some lantern. So like I said, there I was, taking a stroll through the city. I looked in my inventory, and thought I got some pretty nice stuff down there in the Underdark. And that equipment of goody-two-shoes Drizzt looks pretty nice too, glad I took it. Let's get this all identified before going to Cromwell to get it forged. The monk in the temple of Oghma helped me out, so I let him live. And then we went outside, and there it happened.
Some thugs tried mugging us. Not a problem, I'm the son of Bhaal, let's just whipe them out. But what's that? Viconia screaming like hell, some Demon and a handmaiden of Llolth spawning, pretty weird. Guess I'll just smash their skull as well. But what's THAT? Some Gith asking for a silver blade? Yeah I have it, but it's mine now, come and get it!
Minutes later the docks were covered in the blood of a demon, a handmaiden, some thugs and a small army of Githyanki.

Anyway, enough for the introduction, did anyone else get some "strange" battles because some events got triggered at the same time? I mean, fighting such a mix of creatures at the same time felt a bit weird.

If I understand you correctly, you have a question about that event. If I'm wrong, and you want to do fiction instead, let me know, and we'll move this thread down to the SYM (Speak Your Mind) forum.

As for the event: yeah, it triggers very seldom, and only when you have Viconia in your party. I've had it happen in only one out of four run-throughs of SoA. (And then it occured in a very narrow stairwell in the Slums, making the priestess and her killer difficult to hit.) Odd little encounter that leads me to think it's all we've got left of an unfinished Viconia quest.

No, I just wrote a little story to introduce my question actually. I was just asking if someone else had strange or funny battles because different events triggered at the same time.

yeah, I've got one in ToB with Solaufein mod.

I was about to face Sendai (and her clones) when revenge spiders appeared. It was really really tough to deal both, thanks to the web.
