Shields

Post by Stilgar »

Who uses shields?
I'm currently in the Leviathan and I never used a shield before this point.

(PS: NO SPOILERS ABOUT ANITHING AFTER THE LEVIATHAN OR ABOUT KORRIBAN PLEASE)
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

Short answer: I do :D

Longer answer: they are nice for a few shots of immunity (so to speak) against light sabers and blaster shots :)

I literally found myself walking around in shields - so I decided to just start using them up, and found that they infact did perform nicely. Although the lower ones only absorb a few shots/hits they can buy you some valurable time :)

I only wish they were rechargable, even if the fee was exorbitant. I've little use for the cheapo shields, but the nicer ones are very helpful for non-jedi characters who can't naturally deflect ranged attacks during battle.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Shields (for me) fall under the category of 'stuff you keep around because it might be useful, and then never use'. It's easy enough to imagine a situation where a shield might mean the difference between life and death, but I guess I've never found myself in it.

I sell them, and only keep the really good ones for when I need them, which is just about never.

They make fights against Mandalorians very easy.

I always had sheilds. Kept them, but never used them. Eventually, I just sold them, as it wasn't worth it for me.

Most Mandalorians worth a damn will melee. Besides, they're mostly vulnerable to stun/stasis/choke, and just generally quite easy enough without the need for shields...

only time I ever used them was when my party died in a fight when I reloaded I would always put them on, and 90% of the time I would win the fight easy. the other 10% (after I died again) I would use shields and then stims,
