Recent re-install

Post by morgan »

After being away from BG2 awhile, I just reinstalled both SoA and ToB, along with patches from Black Isle I linked to from this site today (12-26-03). Anything else that I should have to avoid annoying bugs and improve gameplay, without changing the story? Just wanted to ask before I got rolling on the new game... I'm new to mods and patches, and there's a LOT out there - I guess I'm looking for some direction. Thanks!

Check the BG Reference Crossroads, a sticky thread, above. There are several good "maintenance" zipfiles that you might want to consider, linked to in there. For starters, try this.

Thanks Fable - I've looked at Baldudash but not quite as closely as maybe I should. I don't want many extras, but want to make sure that my game is bugless and smooth the whole way through - I've been through SoA, but not ToB yet and am looking forward to it...

Thanks again!

Sure thing. The Baldurdash stuff is about as good as the fixes and tweaks get. They've become as much a part of the community as the games, themselves. :)
