PROBLEMS - BIG TIME !! I need help! Vampire and corprus

Post by SoulDreamer »

I've gotten quite far...only level 28. Master thief and already started in the fighters guild and gotten quite far at that as well.... I recently did a mainquest. and I totally screwed up! I was supposed to kill Dagoth Gar and I did....and I saved right after, but too late did I discover that I had been cursed with Vampirism and then the Corprus. Now, the Corprus is getting worse by the minute and nobody will treat me because I'm a vampire....

and there's only one cure and that is to find one guy who wrote a book several years ago about Vampires of Vvardenfell II, and nobody know which temple I can get this book. Are there no 'cheat' I would hate to cheat, though, because I've gotten this far without any.....but I have nothing to fall back on.... help me please....I don't think I could ever start from the beginning....

anything I can do?

The book can be found through one of the Mages Guild missions (I think!). But other than that I don;t really know.

You can get the book you need(that would be Vampires of Yvardenfell Vol II) from here:

Jobasha's Rare Books, Vivec Waistworks(if he won't talk to him steal it, look for it on the top level, large green book)

And now for the cure part:

You must first travel to the Daedric shrine at Bal Ur, North of Suran. Enter the shrine and inside speak with Derar Hlervu who will tell you to speak with the statue. The Statue, Bal, will ask you to travel to the cave Dubdilla (South of Vos) and kill Bal's daughter, Molag Grunda, and her atronach consort, Nomeg Gwai. Bal is apparently displeased about the company his daughter has been keeping (and you though your father was strict) .

Return to the shrine once the pair are dead and your Vampirism will be permanently cured. You will lose all the skills and attributes gained when you became a Vampire, and your character cannot become a vampire again.

Hope this helps...

You need Galur Rithari's papers.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

There are at least 2 if not 3 copies in Morrowind. The one in Secret Library in Vivec, another in the lair of one of vampire clans. I believe, there's also 3rd one, altogether i'm not completely sure.

it's too bad....

that we can't choose freely in Morrowind...because I've actually read that book before...in Daggerfall.... the first game. I still have it, but never play it. I copyed the text from 'Vampires in Vvardenfell' when I used to play it, because I thought vampires were pretty cool back then :)

Anyway, I was extremely lucky. I found a quicksave I had missed, and started where I left it, just BEFORE the mainquest.... so I can take it over again and pheew....I've saved over the other games... but I'll definetly remember what you've said about the books...I think I'm still going to visit, because if it's true that after the first time you become a vampire and you get cured, you can't turn into a vampire again? that's sweet :)
