I cant bring up the cheat console. I have edited the .ini file correctly but the game does not bring up the console when I'm pressing (~) or ('). I have tried holding shift, alt and ctrl but nothing seems to work. I have a swedish keyboard (in sweden we have three additional letters in our alphabet [åäö]) and I'm unsure the ~key is located at the same place on the keyboard in sweden. Please help me someone. Is there another way to bring up the console?
In the .ini-file you can assign in-game functions to different keys on the keyboard. The only problem is that they are represented by numbers and I have no idea which number represents which key or for that matter which number represents which function. has anyone else experienced this and know of a solution dont hesitate to answer.
I have a US keyboard normally configured to Norwegian key layout, and couldn't get the console up until I reconfigured to US key layout. You might try that; the "~/`" key is to the immediate left of the "1" key.
I had a slight problem bringing it up; using Japanese keyboard LOL Only the ` key worked in my case (located on the right side of P, on the same key as @). ~ didn't...
Have you tried all keys with and without shift? If it doesn't work, try what kevral suggests. Might be something on the Bioware forums too.
You could always buy/borrow a US-layout keyboard (just for KoTOR cheat console ).
I use norwegian keyboard setup, and I cannot access the console the "standard" way. I can however do it by pressing SHIFT and \ (Key just left of backspace) together.
