HoF mode and getting plastered

im outside the goblin stronghold in chapter 1 i think it is. my party of 6 are all in the upper teens in levels, 3 tanks a rogue a cleric and a sorcerer. ive done the summon monster ix thing a couple times, mass haste and executioners eyes but my guys still get pasted.

any thoughts?

also, if my cleric sanctuaried, if i summon monster does that break the sanctuary?

i was finally able to overcome the hoard. that was quite a tough battle. i basically sent in my rogue under cover of improved invisibility and a few nasties hasted to bum-rush thost damn drums. once that was done it was pretty easy.
