Jaheira's Romance. Help! (spoiler)

I helped out Xzar in the Dock's district, usualy a harper comes out and tells Jaheira to follow her, after a day she returns. I recently restarted the game, this time romancing Jaheira, and the harper dosn't show, and i've rested like three days there waiting, and still won't show. What do I do?

Just wait a bit longer, I think that event is real-time based, not game-time based. It could help to just leave the computer running BG2 for an hour or two without doing anything.

when i started leaving my computer on for the jah romance, about everytime after jaheria would say her piece, aerie would start saying something, not even a second later

That's true, it's like their competing to get you hehe, as if you were nothing more than a mere toy two little girls want to play with. But... who's complaining, am i right hehe

just load the game, stand somewhere neutral ( like the docks) and press pause. after that, go outside and get something to eat, or run or something

if its long enough, as soon as you unpause it, it should bring up a dialogue

I'm still having problems guys, i've left the game on durning the entire night, came back in the morning... and nothing... is this some kind of bug or something? The harper chick just won't show... how am I supposed to continue her romance if she won't get summoned?

I even tried using the Create Creature thing to bring her, but Jaheira won't leave, she just stays where she is and won't follow her. I rest and I rest and still she remains, the worst is it crashes... I just don't know what to do.. please someone help me -.-

maybe the romance is broken...do you said something bad to her?or removed her from party?

No no.. of course not. Well there was that problem with Aerie, i had her in my group, and there was that post about silencing her because she was whining to much. And that's when you have to chose betwen her and Aerie, by saying either that you'll do no such thing, that you like her. Or tell her that you care for her, but just as a friend. Well i took the second one, and so far the harper chick still won't apear... but what does that have to do with it? I mean... it happened like an in game week later since i did Xars Quest.

Maybe something happened to you like when the harper apeared you clicked in the end dialogue by mistake and quit the place you were and now the harper will neer appear again...

but why you want jaheira instead of Aerie?aerie is far more nice,fun and powerful than jaheira....

I know but, i already did the Aerie romance my first time around, as a paladin, but now i'm a sorceror, and wanted to try with Jaheira. Oh well.. guess i'll have to restart the game *sigh*

You're not5 the only one having this problem. I have it 50% of the times I romance Jaheira.

kk There are many problems with the Jaheira romance... Elminster sometimes doesn't appear, scripts sometimes don't come up... SK mostly can fix most of them. I had this problem with Jaheira as well... what I did is I didn't worry about it and just kept fighting and doing stuff for a bit... then when I rested the harper came. If you jus tleave the game on the whole night did you try resting @ an inn afterward? or something? I could be wrong but that what if took for me to get the stupid NPC to come.

Actually, the solution is easy. Indeed one has to use SK, set the romance to a low number and rest in the WILDERNESS!!! The woman who orders Jaheira to follow her should only appear after Jaheira has been taken hostage, which will only happen once you rest in the wild. The bug is not that the woman doesn't appear, the bug is that the woman often appears without the hostage part. Because of that people start assuming that's normal and because of that they'll start reacting once she doesn't appear. The best place to rest would be the temple ruins of Amaunator. Jaheira will be taken hostage and just after that the woman will come.

But, we're talking about right after you help Xzar. You know? With the friend that get's turned into a bird and ends up being an assassin? Normaly, a harper apears just after that. And it just won't apear

what i got frum that is that u can SET romance numbers? i dont even kno how romance works! ive never even had one and i have beaten the game twice! ....hmmmm mayb i should not zip my way to hell?......hmmm.

My actual problem with Jaheira romance is that Elminster doesn't appear for the end of the quest.
I've already had the outdoor fight with Galvarey, time is passed, I've slept outside but Elminster is not coming!
Is there a way to fix thet?

Exactly, how exactly do you set those numbers? How do you fix those anoying problems, without restarting the game ten times over.
