Hello all,
Everytime I run through the game I get a crash at the exact two places.
Opening up the brig on the Leviathan and taking the elevator to the bridge afterwards. The error message is something to the effect of:
'The instructions at "<bunch-o-numbers>" refererenced memory at "<bunch-more-numbers>". The memory could not be "written"'
If I reboot after the game crashes, I can get past these points. The strange thing is once I received this message in KOTOR, I've been receiving it through various other programs as well. The very first time I've seen it, though, was in KOTOR.
Any ideas? Thanks.
Consistant crash at two locations (possible spoiler)

It is wierd that you get this error in the same locations, because it does point to something with the installation of the game, but ....
What that error suggests (without haveing looked into it closer) is that the game is trying to write over some memory blocks that are reserved (proberly for the Kernel/OS) and that causes the game to crash - or trying to write in some faulty parts of the memory.
My best advice is - unless you experience this error often in various programs - to just live with it.
Otherwise - try finding some ram-testing programs to see if you have faulty memory, or if you have more then 1 module in your computer, to try removing one and/or shifting them around.
