Dualclass problem. Please anyone?

I play Berserker to lvl 9 then dual to mage.
While I was along the way to lvl 9 mage I can use spell normally. Then I get Ievel up to lvl 10 mage I regain berserker ability and continue to get experience in mage. but I can NOT cast spell any more. The spell button become in brown color I canNOT use spell. Though my class is fighter/mage in the record page. OooooHHHH. I get so much angry.

I restart the game and redo all the process and play again from creating a character and play along the way then dual to mage at lvl 9. It happen again!!!!
Once I get to lvl10 mage and regain berserker ability I canNOT use spell.

What 's going on , Can you help me?
I am panic..... now.

*** By the way I use ShadowKeeper to change the looks from fighter male human to Mage male human, Other than that is untouched!***

Well , Was it supposed to be like that?
Dual Fighter/mage can not use spell anymore?
I remove all armor like naked. still cann't..

Have you slept(not you , your party) since you level up and got your berserker ability back? I have just built one with the shadowkeeper and it was blackd out till i put my spells in my book and rested.

Yes I have slept and put some new spell in book. already.
Well, Thank you Weasel. I don't know what to do now. So exhausted.
Is there anyway(cheated) to created my character from nothing, maybe use shadowkeeper I guess, maybe reinstall the game? To recreate my Berserker/Mage
Lvl 9/10 and can use spell.....
Ohh mann. Any other have the same problem?

If your going to build one ,here's (IMO) the best way to do it quick.Start a new game, roll high enough to be able to cover for both classes.Use CLUAConsole:SetCurrentXP("what exp you need for next level").When you get to level 9 dual then, use the cheat again. U might want to play to where ever your at now (to do this) so your game want be ruined. I believe you can make it thourgh the first part of the game by starting out dualed 9/5 .This i believe would keep you in the exp you would have got if you imported him/her from BG1-ToTSC.

I had this same problem with a berseker. I believe its either a bug or Berserker's just cannot cast spells.

Today, I reinstall the whole game and retry to create a new char. Then use cheat CLUA??? to set experience to get dual at berserker 9/ Mage 10. Still..... whenever I regain my berserker ability mage lvl 10 I loss ability to cast spell regardless I remove everything like naked.
I feel so stupid,,, What the HE**.
I think it 's a bug..
Anyone who can successfully dual at berserker/mage LVL9/10? If so would you please share your char with me?

You might want to try installing the BGII patch, there's a fix mentioned which sounds like what you're describing:

"Fixed bug with dual-classing to spellcaster and losing spell casting ability."

The patch is at ftp://ftp.interplay.com/pub/patches/bg2intlpatch.exe
