SPOILER - Unseeing Eye quest and cheese

Post by lompo »

If you adopt the cheese tactic of not using and pickpocketing with familiar the rift device to keep it, can you still complete the Unseeing Eye quest if you are not able to give it back to the Avatar?

Well...

You may be able to, if you use the rift device through a projected image in the Sewers. Kill the PI, and I believe the used rift device will remain - you can turn THAT in without leaving the sewers. So you can have your cake and eat it too, so to speak.

Ah, when the rift device is used it is dropped into the inventory... ok so what happens with the PI's rift device? Drops on the ground or? Must try.

I believe I have Baldurdash installed. It got dropped on the ground when the PIs got deadeded (I think) during some fights in Ch.3. Surprised the HECK out of me.

It does work this way.
I equipped on Edwin that casted P.I., the P.I. used the rift device and then got killed and on the ground were the used rod, while Edwin was still keeping the unused one.

Unbeatable tactic then, dual wielding the rift device and ring of the ram with your PI :D

With multiple P.I. and Simulacrum cast time stop and then use the two items and almost all the battle are won without even start!!!
That's uber-cheese!! :D :D :D :D

Ummm...

Simulacra and PIs are frozen by time-stop, so that (unfortunately) that one won't work.

They will have to cast one timestop each. Does improved alacrity let you use item abilities without pause?
