Fighter stronghold and the 10,000 gold coins

I have recently finished the Nalia quest and had taken over the fighter stronghold.. Went up to the major to collect the 10k gold coins, but was informed that it is in the cabinet in the library on the 2nd floor.. I went to the 2nd floor, but I couldn't find the cabinet with the gold coins.. I'm assuming the library is the room with the 2 bookshelves and the stairway.. But still no gold coins to be found..

I've looked every where on the 2nd floor, every single rooms, every single storages.. no gold coins to be found.. Where are the gold coins?

There's a "shelf" on the north wall of the library (yes, you have the right room). Just move your cursor slowly over it and it'll light up.

You don't get the 10k out of the cabinet though, Nalia gives it to you when you finish the quest. You should have seen the message that you have gained 10,254 gold or something like that.

I did check the shelf on the north wall by the stairway, but there is nothing there. I only found 3 storage locations in the library room. Is there a 4th?

Nalia did not hand me the 10k gold. Have to speak to the Major to get the gold coins I thought..

I think the amount of money Nalia gives you depends on how much money you already have by that time. Either way, you won't find any money in the cabinet until you get taxes, and then you'll find a lousy 500gps.

You get it from Nalia just as you complete the quest before you take ownership -- it is your reward for clearing out the Trolls, regardless of whether you are a fighter and get the stronghold.

I didn't get the 10000gp either. I went looking and never found it. Nalia never gave it to me either. Maybe its because I did not include her in my party. Does anyone know why we didn't get the 10000gp after the castle became secured???

I did not include Nalia in my party either. Wonder if that is what is preventing us from getting the 10k gold coins. *ponder*
I don't have the last saved game before I did the stronghold raid, thought I did tho.. *grumble*

When I finished this quest the first time I did not have Nalia in my group. When I spoke to her to get my reward I only got 254gp (felt a bit ripped).

I tried it later with her in my group and when I had finished the quest she handed over 10,254gp which felt much better, (I dropped her afterwards though)
